Definitely a must try of long term staple local restaurants. We ordered in the back at a small building w a walk up window on the back side of the building with the sign on MLK. The woman who took the order was very patient and nice. The woman was super nice and brought us our food to the car when it was ready which I thought was superb customer service. Got a small weenie on chilli plate with Cole slaw and it came w three rolls, hot sauce, and mustard. I ended up making sandwiches out of the contents of the box. Everything was tasty to me except wasn’t a big fan of the slaw taste, it had a very sauer kraut taste to it. Reminded me of Beenie weenies since I had never tried it before. Would like to try their other offerings. For two dinners and a large drink it was $32. Love the location in the heart of the city! Would definitely recommend going and marking it off your bucket list if you haven’t already.

I like to try to support black businesses but they need to do better! The website says they open at 3. The faded out sign says 3:30. I got there at 3 the owners finally got there at 3:45. People standing outside they never spoke ( they walked right past everyone never looked up) Bad customer service!! when they finally opened the window a young girl was standing at the window- Well I was the first person there. The worker took the young lady order first- then a young guy before mine .I told her you need to ask who was first because I was here before both of them! I told her if you are not sure who was first just ask “ who was first!! The phone number goes straight to a full voicemail. The chop was awful!!! I was sick to my stomach!!! DO BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordered two large chopped wiener plates and two hotdogs no slaw on 12/21/24. I don't know what happened but the food taste was atrocious. My cousin had the other chopped wiener plate and she mention that hers didn't taste right as well. It was to tangy for some odd reason😖. So, we both stopped eating our food and I called them about 5 ish or so to let them know our concerns. The young lady was pleasant as I described what I was tasting in my food and she said that their sauce does have vinegar in it and I said that's what it could have been to vinegary?🤔 She put me on hold to get a Mgr to speak with me but she wasn't available at that time and she took my name and phone number for the Mgr to give me a call. I put the food in the fridge just in case thay wanted me to bring it back. I patiently waited and by 10 pm I trashed our food and of course no phone call received from them as of 9 am Sunday...... 40.00 in the garbage.

My whole family Looooves MEMOS!!! I can't wait until they open their inside dining room up and start back having live music for customer appreciation! They haven't been a staple in the community for over 50 years for no reason! Great honest respectful family. The 4 generations of Williams' family are all serious about their customer service skills. They teach the children from very young ages about how to treat the customers and it shows! They light up whenever they see us coming and even remember our usual order. The customer service should be studied because they are all naturals! I Would definitely recommend!

I've eat at Memo's for many years but never have ever got sick but today, it was the only thing that I had eaten since breakfast. It was around 6pm and got food poison from there. I think they have changed owners a few times over the years but today was different. The food tasted different. I am actually still sick from the food. I am not sure if they had gotten some bad meat or what. The people are very nice and the atmosphere is great. The food is just different now. I have been eating there for almost 30 years but it had really changed now. Just be careful.
