Let me start by saying I absolutely love my Merv's Burgers, patty melt, and burger salad. This being said, we don't always eat in. We order to go. Problem with to-go orders is that they're VERY inconsistent. Like previous reviewers have said, they've asked for ingredients to be left off, only to get home and find out that those ingredients are on the sandwich. To-Go orders of the tater tots are usually very overdone and to go orders of the fries are just no longer a thing I do due to them either being not completely done, overdone, or just plain flimsy. Those can only be eaten when I'm at the restaurant. So fast forward to an order I placed this past weekend. A patty melt, a burger, a side of tater tots, and a side of onion rings. I paid $7+ for the tots and $8 for 5, yes 5, onion rings. Almost $16 for this??? (See pic below) I would have paid $8 for what I got, but almost $16 for this minimal amount. That's a no. I will continue to be a patron of this restaurant but only if I dine in. Still love the burgers though!!

Fry's with side of a hamburger. First time coming there not impressed had both waitress' take my order still didn't get it right ask no tomato no mustard they brought it was no mayo with mustard they scraped the veggies with mustard off and just reapplied veggies forgot pickles paid didn't even get a thanks for coming or anything she didn't tell me a total just took my card and ran it and said nothing was a 5-6 year old child running around behind the counter and busting the tables witch is kinda weird to me but average burger and fries just kinda crappy service

I did an grubhub order with these guys first time. Wife went to pick it up they had no clue. Then they finally found my order. Got home was impressed with the size of the burger. Unwrapped it and a massive chunk of onion and in my order I said no onion no pickles and no sause they did not read it so my burger is nasty but the drive back is not worth the cost. First time ordering and the last time.

Best french fries in Chattanooga and Excellent burgers. And it's owned by two former waitresses (red-headed identical twins) so the service is good and friendly.

We haven't been here for a bit, the place is still the same atmosphere wise. Rustic and simple. The food is good, burgers, salads and fries, they give you a lot of fries. The service this particular visit was less than stellar, almost to the point of being rude. Wife still gave a tip, I wouldn't have.

Dont go here. Or at least dont get the chicken melt which i got. It was just some chicken breast between some generic store bought white bread with american cheese and too much mayo, for $10 With no side. Ive been to plenty of dives and thats horrific. Maybe if it was 6 or 10$ with a side. I got $6 onion rings and it was incredibly bland. I would be shocked if they make them from scratch in house. Anyway i took two bites of the melt and walked out. Paid for the rings and tipped. They did not charge me for the melt whoch is good integrity. But It had nothing to do with prep. Its just management doesnt want to have quality food to serve but charge like they do.
This place looks nothing like advertised, very grungy and the waitresses smell like cigarettes. Didn't even bother trying the food just from how bad the place looks.

One paragraph isn’t enough to show my appreciate for this restaurant. The first “best burger in town” I agree with. Our waitress, was absolutely amazing! Answered every question promptly, at our table 5+ times for refills alone, and made us feel right at home. Truly the “small town” restaurant everybody wishes for!

I was there today. Noticed the food wasn't that great. Looked like new cooks. The bald guy that cooked where is he. Need him back in the kitchen. Can definitely tell the difference in the taste of food

Burger under cooked ., they claim they have the best burgers in Tennessee well that’s a lie I was there 2 days ago got wonderful fried foods but not this evening no one like soggy food were the buff guy that works in the back we came in just to see him bald guy we won’t be back that smile is worth a million words well my 3:30 evening brunch’s are over there !. There good is not on point anymore go try it for your self we’re the bald buff guy at ?
