The food was really good. I got the merv burger and fries. The portions were plenty big to fill me up, especially the side of fries.The service was okay. The waitress was nice, but it was extremely slow. It took over 20 minutes to get our food, which was 4 burgers and fries.It was seat yourself, so I highly recommend sitting away from the door because there's not much weather-proofing. It was very cold near the door when I went and it was only 40ish degrees outside.

Unfortunately, recently we've had two bad experiences. I've grown up at mervs. Been in there since I was a baby. I've always LOVED mervs. I crave their burgers. My family and I went in a couple months ago and my fiance ordered a patty melt with no onions. We sat there for quite a while, we understood it takes a while to cook. They bring our food out and there's onions ALL over his patty melt. They offer to re make it. so our food came out but he had to sit there and wait for them to make his again. So we were done eating by the time his new patty melt came out. Next, we went yesterday and my fiance ordered the chicken fries. We sat there for 40/45 mins again and the waitress comes out and tells us they're out of chicken fries. 40 mins later you come and tell us? So that means 1, either our food had not even been started yet, or 2, our food had been started but we would have had to wait another 30 mins for them to cook him something else. We were very disappointed AGAIN and just left. The prices are sky high now and the service has been horrible the past two times we've come in. Really upsetting.

Merv's recently began serving breakfast. My daughter and I went after working night shift on a Monday morning. Service was friendly and food was great but took a little longer than we expected to get out to us. I think the timing will improve as they get used to serving breakfast. Will definitely come back often.
