Casual, delicious, and fresh!
Birria is tasty, just spicy enough, and filling!
Very good and fast service! The food was delicious, and the prices were good! I'll be back.

★☆☆☆☆
Mediocre Mexican food at its absolute pinnacle—congealed beans, flavorless carne asada that could double as shoe leather, and salsa that tastes like it was strained through a gym sock. You’ll need that cheap booze just to choke it down.
Speaking of staff: there’s a heavy-set male employee who lurks like a storm cloud, zero social skills, and an uncanny talent for making every interaction feel like an interrogation. Eye contact? Smiles? Basic human decency? Nope. He’ll hover, sigh, and somehow make you feel like you’re the problem for daring to order food.
Location is a disaster. The “outdoor patio” is a cruel joke—50 feet from a busy bus stop where exhaust fumes mingle with the aroma of unwashed humanity. Happy hour runs 2–8 PM, which apparently translates to “open invitation for every sketchy character within a five-mile radius.” Cheap liquor attracts cheap company, and the patio becomes a front-row seat to chaos you didn’t sign up for.
Save your stomach, your sanity, and your wallet. This place is a hard pass.

Birria was ok didnt have much flavor
While staying the night at the Read House, we Googled restaurants near us and Mexiville came up and sounded like a good choice. Oh my gosh, I don't think I can even describe how good the food was. The chips and salsa definitely tasted homemade and the chips were so warm and crunchy. We ordered the Volcano fajitas to split and it was enough food for us to be stuffed and still have a to-go box packed full. Our bill came to under $30 before tip. Next time I am in Chattanooga, I will be eating at Mexiville.

This place is great! I got the mexiville taco plate and for under 15.00 got 3 huge tacos with fresh avocado slices, their own salsa, tortilla chips and a cup of salsa plus a generous portion of Mexican rice and refried beans. Everything was hot and delicious. I got it as take out and service was fast and friendly.

Food is outstanding. They have the best “kitchen request” hot sauce I think I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. It is a habanero hot sauce that complemented our food and chips very well. We loved it. The food is excellent. The service was average and acceptable. The atmosphere is a little rough but it works for the price point and quality. Highly recommended and we would go back.

Worst Mexican food I have eaten. For downtown Chattanooga, this type of food and service was not expected. We ordered 2 entrees and he brought out one, I am thinking other one is still being made. 10-15 mins later I got tired and went to ask the serve because he was busy scrolling on his phone. He was like I only placed order for one dish. He was not attentive at all. And the complimentary chips and salsa also tasted stale. Food was very bland.

The food was really good. It was pretty empty when we went.
Awesome Mexican spot!
We stopped in as part of our taco crawl and were really impressed. The service was super fast, and the decor inside is really fun and vibrant. It got busy fast, which is always a good sign—and the tacos definitely lived up to the hype. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re in the area.
