New China Buffet

Visiting here in Chattanooga, TN, we chose to go eat at New China Buffet and Grill. It was horrible! The place was ok; not perfectly clean as it should be. After ordering our drinks, we all went to get our food. I put lettuce in a plate for salad but there was only cucumbers and eggs that I knew what it was on the salad bar. The worst salad bar ever seen. The egg rolls and spring rolls contained only cabbage-terrible. The ice tea was good. The tastes of everything was disgusting. Our bill was this very $79 for two adults, two 17year-olds and a nine year old. When The drinks were brought to the table two of them were wrong. Then when a refill was ordered, it was wrong. None of this food was good. I got steamed broccoli; how can broccoli be messed up. It had a terrible taste. Also when I served my broccoli, there was just a little in the pan, the kitchen staff brought more out but he only put a small amount in the pan not the usual amount to replenish a pan of broccoli. Food was cold and old like it was the leftovers from lunch. I sat there astonished about how bad it was. I’m will never return to this restaurant. In all honesty, it should be closed down. This was my nine year old grandson’s first time to eat Chinese. It was a terrible impression on him. Not sure I will be able to get him to try Chinese cuisine again. One of the desserts was so bad he had to spit it out.

The only good thing they had going for themselves is the ice cream.

If you go around lunch time I promise you will enjoy there sesame chicken. They have like some of the best food in chatt for chinese

Yes it’s a small Chinese buffet. Yes has little variety. But one thing the owner is very kind and the food was hot and fresh even at 7:30 pm at night. Would I come back ? Yes

This place use to be good. Now they charge you before you eat. They don’t have many options of food to choose from. What they do offer taste bad. The service is crap. You wait 15 minutes to even get drinks. They block you from using half of the restaurant because not much business with the lack of food or good food in general. They have hats and other stuff across the restaurant like it a Chinese shop instead of restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here. You are forced to tip ahead of time because with the service and food you would walk out and not tip. Honestly they should be shut down. I wouldn’t recommend anyone give a 0 stars if I could.

This place used to be the bomb in 2007 but now it all taste the same. The other Chinese restaurant on Browns ferry that has a bad health score has more flavors

Nice people but horrible food worst sushi I have ever sampled, nothing but imitation crab. Everything i tried was horrible. They make you pay before entering for a reason. One waiter. The gift shop is weird

Not as good as it used to be

Love their fried rice! (I don't usually like rice!) I usually order takeout but will eat in with the fam on rare occasions. If I had to make any suggestions to the staff, it would be to smile more.
