This is well above average in tasting and portion returns. I can only speak to the service, location, lamb gyro, and hummus/pita. With that in mind, all of these areas were fantastic, truly (except the hummus). From the giant park outside to the large interior with large bar area and quick service, this visit was great.Lamb Gyro was very fresh with all the common toppings found on a typical ugly. The meat was post seared and cooked to perfection (and there was a ton). My wife would say it would feed 2 people but I crushed it solo bc it was so crazy tasty. A true food baby to be had. This wasn't just another gyro, it was a gyro made for me, go get you one...and get your grind on.

Great experience all around highly recommend!!!

I ordered enchiladas and for the first time ever they were actually immersed in the mole sauce. Most places wrap dry meat in a dry tortilla and then ladle a spoon of mole sauce on top. Not so here, the tortillas were actually dipped in mole and very good. My companion ordered a lamb gyro plate the hummus and sauces were delicious and the included salad was very generous. The place wasn’t very busy on a weekend afternoon but I’m glad I didn’t stop us from trying. Would recommend.

We went here today for my husband's birthday and we were very excited!! They have so many things on the menu that our family loves and we don't see at many other places. The food was amazing but the service was terrible!! We were not greeted as we entered an empty restaurant. We sat ourselves and took our own menus. We could not get our server to speak to us, even when we were ordering. We tried to be so nice, but still nothing. When we got our food, we got one set of silverware and one napkin for four people. He never once came to check on us or ask us if we needed anything. He sat down and played on his phone the entire time. As we were leaving, we all said thank you and he literally just stared at us. Being a server of 20+ years this experience did not sit well with me. I thought that the restaurant would like to know that they are losing customers by the way their staff acts, so I called and asked to speak with a manager. When I began to tell her what happened she hung up in my face. I was hoping it was a mistake, so I called back. Once she heard my voice, she hung up again. Bad customer service skills = empty restaurant!! Needless to say we will NEVER spend another dime here!! Biggest waste of $50 ever!!

This was a very nice restaurant that serves a wide selection of food and drinks. The menu has Mediterranean, Mexican, and American food. There was a lot of items on the menu that we wanted to try. The portions were very generous and we had plenty to eat and to take home for another meal. The food was very good with reasonable prices

I’ve been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and I’m blown away by the food every time. It’s so fresh, and the service is unmatched. The drinks are also great, and the happy hour deals are amazing! And don’t forget the great location right next to Renaissance park. A delicious bang for your buck!!

Between sites we were looking for a lunch place. NYC Gyro seemed a safe bet. Expecting a hole-in-the wall, we were surprised to enter an empty restaurant with a full bar. Nothing unusual for the restaurant to be empty at almost 3:00 pm. Our Gyro platter was accompanied by tahini, hummus, tzatziki and a side of fries. We were able to substitute the fries with baba ghanoush or tabouli salad. We had ordered a lamb gyro, a chicken gyro and a falafel with all the above sides. The sauces and sides tasted very fresh and authentic. Also, the sauce in the gyro was very flavorful and unique. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and revisit if in town again.

NYC Gyro has the best Mediterranean food in all of Chattanooga! A couple other benefits are it’s location (right in Renaissance park) and cleanliness. See for yourself!

Definitely an undiscovered gem. Food is amazing- unlike the generic, run-of-the-mill Mexican food you find everywhere. Portions are huge, but the quality is what sets this apart. If you are a drinker, recommend the Michilada; I challenge you to find a better one anywhere else. They make theirs complete with Mexican candy straws and Tajin seasoning. Worth the trip alone

Absolutely the best Greek food in Chattanooga!!!! My whole family enjoyed every bite. We started with the artichoke spinach dip and fresh warm pita, that immediately put a smile on everyones faces, we knew at that moment it was only going to get better from there. My father had the Lamb gyro, that was some of the best lamb I have ever tasted! My girlfriend and I shared the falafel gyro, that as well blew our taste buds out of the water, and incredible meal all the way around!YOU WILL NOT leave here feeling hungry or ignored the, service was excellent and the food bountiful!!!Compliments to the chef!!!

Food was good, atmosphere is neat, location is cool, was disappointed in the staff experience.I took my teenage daughter on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm for a meal. We were the only customers there. The staff was dressed like it was a Friday or Saturday night at a nightclub with extremely heavy eye makeup and totally see-through shirt to show their bra and very high heels. They kept asking "are you going to want anything else" like they didnt want to come back to check on us (even before we got our food). It was our first experience there, and the food was definitely good enough to want to go back, but the service staff was not a great experience. I might give it another chance; if it is still the same experience, I will not dine-in there again. For food:My daughter got the fried tilapia, it was huge pieces and had a well seasoned flavor in the batter. We both loved the flavor and thought it was cooked perfect. Im not a fan of battered fries, but my daughter liked them. I got the Brooklyn platter and the lamb was fantastic. I was also very pleased with the parsley salad. Though the rice was too dry for my taste. We got empanadas as an appetizer. They had just beef in them, not beef and potatoes, and it came with two (we saw a picture somewhere that showed three in an order), but they were good.

NYC Gyro is a family owned business that serves delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. We popped in today for lunch and we were not disappointed! All of the food came out hot, well seasoned, and with fresh ingredients. We left with full bellies and leftovers, thanks to their big portions. We can't wait to go back!

Great new spot on the North Shore. Loved the Brooklyn Platter and happy hour drink specials.
