A friend took me here for my birthday after it was recommended to us by other friends, and our meal was delightful. The owner himself was attentive and friendly, taking the time to chat with us. The server was likewise swift and responsive. And our meals were delicious! The wedge salad is the best I've had anywhere, and my friend's tuna, also delicious, was a piece of art. Our server even surprised us with a slice of candle-lit cake and after hearing us comment on my birthday. We will definitely go back.

Feels like you're at someone's home. It's so cozy and detail-oriented. The food was impeccable - I worked all day and came here, and I ate almost everything! The menu changes weekly, so everything is fresh and local. A gem of Chattanooga. Every menu is labeled by the week, and this is week 140.

Picture 1 & 2: Baked lamb & brie (kind of like a wellington, soooo good, we ate every bite)

Picture 3 & 4: Short rib with Bordelaise. So tender. The pesto risotto was amazing.

Picture 5: Redfish. So tender and flaky with the perfect blackened skin!

This restaurant is amazing! The service and food were top notch. There was a small wait for a table for brunch on Sunday. However, I would have waited twice as long if necessary. If you are looking for a cozy, exceptional restaurant, plan a trip today!!

This place is fantastic! Don’t be in a hurry and enjoy the experience. Great food, beverages and service. They’re so accommodating and welcoming. A great spot!

The food varies from good to great depending on what we ordered. It has a small cozy atmosphere, though it feels very crowded and has long wait times. The prices were surprisingly reasonable for upscale style food.

This place rocks. Been 3 times, plan to go many more. I appreciate that Mr. Rivers goes and checks on all the tables and is honest about how things are, very kind man. The food is phenomenal. I have never liked fish, doesn’t really matter the type, but someone told me to order it just to try and oh boy am I glad I did. That was the best bite of food I’ve ever eaten. Servers are all very kind as well, and while it isn’t a huge place, the atmosphere and ambience are lovely whether it be for a fun lunch or and intimate dinner. Old Man Rivers is outstanding on all fronts!

Very fresh ingredients used in all their products. Every item on the plates had their own distinct taste.It was very delicious.We started out with the crispy pork belly and beetroot salad.So tasty!
For entrees, we had shrimp and grits. And the big biscuit plate. Highly. Recommended. Can't wait to go back

So many people have asked if I’ve been to Old Man River and raved about it—finally, I did, and it did not disappoint! Their dinner menu changes weekly, and they also offer daily lunch and drink specials. I grabbed a lunch special to go for the next day and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions—I even shared it with my son.

Everything we tried was amazing: wedge salads, blackened catfish Po’boy, and the meatloaf special of the day—divine! Drinks were equally impressive, from Bloody Marys to martinis, beer, and a coffee concoction that got rave reviews.

So glad I finally discovered this spot—I’ll definitely be back!
