Opa was incredible! The Greek food is truly authentic, there’s lots of wine, and by the end of the night, you’ll find yourself dancing with the owner. An unforgettable experience from start to finish.

Opa is easily my favorite spot in Chattanooga, every time we come up my wife and I make a point to go at least once. The owner, Micheal, delivers one of the most unique dining experiences I've ever found. Not only is the food amazing but the whole building makes you feel like you are somewhere in Greece. There is no menu, but it comes with 4 courses of authentic Greek food, bottomless wine, and Ouzo shots for the table! They used to break plates in the old days after dinner, but it has now been replaced by napkins being thrown like confetti. If you are lucky the night will also include line dancing, music, and some of the best memories you can make in Chattanooga.

I came in hopeful, lured by glowing reviews. I can only assume those folks either have stock in the place or accidentally walked into a different restaurant entirely.
The food? About as authentically Greek as a microwave gyro from a gas station — and priced like it was flown in on a private jet. Standard fare dressed up in fancy plating and wishful thinking.
But the real kicker? The bizarre “ritual” of tossing thousands of paper napkins onto the floor. It’s wasteful, confusing, and feels less like a nod to Greek tradition and more like a desperate cry for TikTok attention. If that’s culture, then I guess Chuck E. Cheese is Italian fine dining.
Skip it. Plenty of better options that won’t insult your wallet or your intelligence.

I would not go to this restaurant if you have any food allergies! They say on the phone they are accommodating but they are not. We were told that they use organic flour for gluten free. That is not appropriate for people with celiacs disease or any other food allergies.

We went to OPA this weekend and had an AMAZING time!! The owner and employees were so kinda and gracious - service was phenomenal and the food was incredible! We felt like we were in Greece the whole time and the food was better than our Greek vacation last summer. Go try OPA!!
If you're in for a dinner EXPERIENCE that is unique, delicious, authentic, and ONE OF A KIND, this is the place for you. We went there with a party of 6 adults, and everyone had the best time, left feeling so full of yummy, homemade Greek food, and enjoyed the after dinner festivities of napkin throwing and dancing! It felt like we were all one big Greek family for a few moments! Just as a heads up to people: the owner and cook set the menu. We never picked any food, we just ate what was served and what he was cooking that night. We LOVED that part of this experience and it felt like eating at a friend's house and they made their own special, authentic dishes for you. The majority of the restaurant is pseudo inside/outside, so on a summer night it will feel like a summer night. To me, this felt like what it might be on a Grecian patio on the Mediterranean in the summer. It added to the EXPERIENCE. The food was incredible (my favs were the spanakopita and salad dish, and the chicken dish was just *chef's kiss* delish!) If you're looking for a cool experience with an amazing and authentic dinner, go to OPA! They will treat you like family and you'll have a meal you won't soon forget!!!
