Outback Steakhouse

A good friend of mine and I got together for a early Christmas dinner at the Outback Steakhouse for some delicious steaks and sides. Best choice ever! He got the highly recommended Delmonico steak stated on the menu to be well marbled, tender, and with a buttery flavor in which we totally agree. I got the chose two with a Sirloin steak and Shrimp on the Barbie with broccoli and a baked potato both perfectly cooked to satisfaction. Our waiter Vic was very patient and informative about the menu items and very professional and prompt. Lastly we had a chocolate brownie with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream topping with whipped cream! This particular Outback has a reputation for loyal patriots who know good food is to be had with every visit!

Just an overall terrible experience. 38.99 for a piece of meat and a piece of seafood with 0% flavor. Never again.

The quality of the food has gone way down over the years. The portion size of dishes other than steaks have shrunk but the prices keep going up. The Alice Spring Chicken is now very small and has very little taste. We both got filets and the marinade was disgusting. Even with A1 I could only eat 3 bites.

Better than expected! Which, really is how the score should start. Business was slow, as we eat at not peak hours. Seated in a booth in the bar, which is preferred by us. Ordered beer and the Blooming Onion as an appetizer; late lunch, early dinner - we were hungry! The ordered was missed or delayed but finally came perfectly cooked and was comped by the manager due to the delay.
We did change our orders due to the time we had already waited, so we split a meal but upgraded the steak to a filet and added a side.
The filet was amazing! Perfectly cooked, great seasoning. Good potato and fries. Salad was cold and good.
Best bonus was the take-away option. We ordered 2 meals to-go. They were fanatic!
In this economy when we are eating out much less often, this was a real treat and a great value! The Hixson location was amazing!

I just recently went here to eat with my mother for Veterans Day. One would think that they would be properly staffed for a holiday like this. When we walked up to put our name in there was quite a few people up front waiting to be seated. There was absolutely no parking so I knew it was going to be busy. I had to park across the street which is fine. When I got inside I noticed that there were quite a few tables open. I went to the restroom and counted all the tables and there were 18 tables available. We waited for 40 minutes to be seated in a restaurant that had that many tables available. Come to find out they weren't properly staffed and that's why everybody was waiting. The manager was very rude to us especially when I told her I didn't want to be seated in the corner and that I wanted a table. She had the worst attitude. When I told her she wasn't going to talk to me the way she did she started backing up and apologizing. At this point I was over it. We had been waiting for quite some time and we were both hungry. Once we were seated our server was horrible. We had our drinks refilled one time and it wasn't by her. The manager never came over to apologize for talking to me the way she did. I never eat here and now I know why. The food was great and the people in the kitchen cooked it to perfection. The service and the attitude of the manager made me never want to go back there again.

We had a great lunch at Outback Steakhouse this past Saturday around noon. There were three of us in our party, and we started with the three cheese spinach dip appetizer — it was hot, creamy, and full of flavor. All of our meals were cooked perfectly, and each of us agreed we’d gladly order the same dishes again.

The restaurant was clean — plates, silverware, and glasses were spotless — and the atmosphere was very comfortable. The noise level was low enough that we could easily enjoy a private conversation at our table without having to raise our voices.

Our server, Mr Vasilios I believe was excellent — friendly, attentive, and checked on us just the right amount without ever being intrusive. Prices were reasonable and in line with other casual dining restaurants offering the same level of service and quality.

I also appreciated the convenience of being able to order and pay right from the table device — a nice modern touch that made checkout quick and secure without needing to hand over my credit card.

Overall, a very enjoyable lunch experience. We’ll definitely be back.

We met two of our Octogenarin friends for lunch there. They loved the food and the price. My wife and I: Meh.

Salads (House and Wedge): Good. Grilled chicken: Tiny, thin, and meh.

Service was good, but the restaurant was mostly empty.

Bathroom was clean.
