I have been here on more than one occasion hoping they will get better. Do not get lunch here unless you have an hour + to wait on your food. This is likely the worst managed lunch option in downtown Chattanooga.

I had an extremely frustrating experience at Panera today. I placed a to-go order and ended up waiting an entire hour for my food, which is unacceptable—especially during my lunch break. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of communication from the staff. No updates, no explanation during the wait, just a lot of confusion among customers.
When I finally got my order, the staff mentioned that the long delay was due to Panera being bought out by another company, and as a result, things are “just not up to standard.” While I understand that changes may bring challenges, this is not the customer’s problem. If operations are falling behind, they clearly need more support and better management.
The employees were friendly, but that only goes so far when a simple order—like soup—takes an hour. This location desperately needs more staff and improved processes. Unfortunately, it left me seriously reconsidering whether Panera is a reliable option during a busy workday.

I started eating at Panera Bread about 2 months ago and loved it! I usually eat at the one by Hamilton Place Mall and everything is always so good! I was near the downtown location getting ready to head to my mom's in jasper and decided to take her a sandwich and pick me up a couple, I ordered 3 turkey and cheddars picked them up and drove all the way to jasper. Upon opening the sandwiches none of them had the cheddar on them and barely had any thing else very little turkey or lettuce. The price for a sandwich at panera is a little high so i expect it to be right. Avoid downtown location at all costs. To be honest not to sure I trust the other locations now.

I ordered a dozen bagels online to take to my husbands work after my dogs vet appointment. I called to see if there was anyway someone could run the order out to me when I pulled up, since I had my dog and my toddler with me. Kiki was so so kind and happy to accommodate! Great customer service! ❤️❤️

Dirty. Homeless. You have to order at a Kiosk. No one offers to give you your drinks. This place is the worst in downtown.

It’s dog hair all in my food!

DISAPPOINTED. What I ordered, is not what I got . I specifically placed an order for multigrain bagels, blueberry and sesame. It was picked up as promised . Notice said “YOUR ORDER IS READY”. I have someone pick it up . They did not say in the notice - what you ordered is NOT available They said your order is ready . It is picked up , brought to me and it is NOT what I ordered .
Since when do you order a hot dog, someone gives you a hamburger and that is “ok”

So the guy expediting the orders we ask if he could cut a half sandwich since I had weight loss surgery and can't eat an entire sandwich and was sharing with a friend. His hateful response was he couldn't cut anymore than it was and we could cut with the knife he gave us on the plate. A butter knife isn't easy to cut a sandwich with. Very rude and not helpful

The bacon avo melt is out of this world delicious. Very flavorful. Their dark roast coffee is also really nice. The staff is always polite and they keep the place very clean ✨

The manager John went above and beyond today. A mistake was made with delivery. The DoorDash driver didn’t alert them that the address was wrong, and instead said there was nothing they could do. John personally didn’t think that was good enough and had his team remake the food and he delivered it himself. I greatly appreciate that he was willing to do all that and I will be dining there again soon!

I order breakfast here often because I work in the area. I can’t tell you the last time that I’ve gotten the notification that my mobile order is ready at a reasonable time. I never leave negative reviews, but as I am typing this I am on minute 27 of my wait for a sliced and toasted bagel. That’s it. literally a bagel, sliced and toasted. They aren’t even the ones who put the spread on, so like genuinely how long does it take to put a bagel in the toaster and cut it. The answer is not 27+ minutes I’ll tell you that.
