I don't know if they were short handed. But the hamburger didn't have the jalapeño pepper jelly on it like menu said. Was charged for a small cup of it. Was told onion rings were the best ever, they were just ok, the pickle you couldn't chew threw the skin gross. It was a very neat place to go but I thought the food was not up to par at all. Service was a little slow the girls were running there butts off. Between upstairs and down stairs. Maybe they were short staffed on a Sat. But I don't think I'll go back. But it was really neat to see.

This is a great place. Went there on recommendations from friends. Wow what a great place fir food and drinks. A really good drink menu. Wide variety of beers and mixed drinks. Food was great. My wife had falafel and soup. She lived both of them. My sister-in-law had the Kim chi cheese steak. She said it was the right amount and spice. I had the tatochos tater tots nachos. The chillies and toppings were so good. Overall this was a great place will be back. Please note 21 and up only.

I was glad to see this place was still around when so many other places failed to survive Covid. I'm always going to be chasing the tail of the dragon that is Honest Pints' shepard's pie. Pickle Barrel is a great place to stop as you walk downtown Chattanooga and just hang with friends.

Hamburger was cold, bun was cold and the meat was so over cooked that it was crumbly. Server brought my burger plate and there was a baked potato instead of fries. She asked if I wanted my fries and I told her yes. My friends meat was dry on her sandwich too. Her onion rings were way overcooked and she really couldn’t eat them. The only thing good was the marble rye bread for her sandwich. Ps… the pickle spears were even tough.

The food and service was absolutely amazing and yes we'll definitely go back again but the real star of the show is the building itself! This is in the oldest continuously running bar in Chattanooga, TN. Mostly all original and completely amazing! We were there during a afternoon lull so we had our choice of tables and even though I'm in my mid sixties the front corner booth in that gorgeous huge window brought the kid out in me and I just had to sit there. Our server was more than happy to give us a tour of the building and shared it's history as well. It was a wonderful late lunch date!!

Food and service were more of a 3.5. Everything was OK. I would probably give it another try. Definitely a popular spot. I tipped above 20% even though drinks were not refilled, service was slow and (my biggest gripe) we didnt get a bill. Server just said what we owed. Seemed high and I probably could have asked for printed bill but we had already been 2 hours because the food took so long so I just wanted out.
