This is a fun tiny pub with great food and drinks! The fries are huge! It has cozy seating and a nice heated covered balcony great for people-warching below. The staff are friendly. And the pickles are refreshing! There is a sign on the door that says you must be 21, so it's not the best place to bring children, but it's a cute place for a date or a night out with friends.

This place is awesome. My group balled out on food, drinks, desserts and it was super affordable. Our server was awesome. Can't remember his name but younger guy with real pretty eyes and I think a mustache. The building itself is sick and I loved all of it. I will be back to Chattanooga specifically to go here again.

They didn't appear to be real receptive when I first walked in. I sat down and it took a few minutes before someone came and asked if I needed anything. When someone did I just asked to sit at the bar because I figured I would get speedier service there. The waitress was awesome and made very good drinks. The food was good but I was slightly inebriated when it arrived. That's why I gave it 4 stars. I will give it another try to see how the service is. Maybe that was just a bad night. Because it was really busy and it was almost midnight.

Parking: Street parking was free around the time I went, but during the day it is a meter.

The Pickle Barrel in Chattanooga, Tn, is this old pie slice shaped building at the end of a block where two buildings come together at odd angles.
This place has been on my list to visit for years, probably 15 years. The building catches your eye from the car every time you pass by. It doesn't fit with the surrounding architecture. It's much older, sorta unchange from a different century. At least that's the feel from the street. Once inside, you feel like you just stepped into an old pub in the 1800s.
The place feels tight, tables along two walls that meet at the narrow booth in the window at the end of the pie shape. Everything very feels close, sorta gritty cozy. The windows on the outside are old single square panes with a pane of stained glass over them. Everything is perfect for a building this old. There is a single waitress working all of the tables downstairs and sh occasionally runs up the spiral stair to the roof dining area. Service is slow, but that's ok. The place screams, relax, stay a while, have a couple of drinks.
Ok, enough, it's an awesome place to grab lunch, but don't plan to be in a hurry. There is a bar with seating for maybe 6 and some standing space for casual lunch drinkers. You come here because you always have or for the atmosphere.
The menu is typical bar fare and reasonably priced.
I had chili and a BLT, my wife's fish, and chips. The portions are manly and were well prepared. It's not fancy, it's good.
If you aren't local, you have to plan to get here with purpose. They close early, around 3, so you have to fit your schedule into their day, not the other way round.
For me, with every new dining place being polished, cold, felling empty with no soul and serving overpriced average food, this place is a gem.
It isn't trying to pretend to be what it isn't. It is genuine and I miss that.
We had a great hour in your fine establishment. Your staff was friendly and accommodating with a smile. We only wish we lived closer.

I always try to come here every time I’m in Chattanooga. Vibes are awesome. Service is great. It has very cool interior, and there’s also a rooftop! My favorite burger here is definitely the pepper jammer. I’ve had burgers be overcooked at times, but other than that it’s a great meal.

First time! Came down from Missouri to visit with family. Brother took us to this bomb place. I loved the vibe walking in. And upstairs was warm in the tent!
Food was delicious! The sidewinder fries. OMG. take wedges and ribbon fries- boom amazing!
Will definitely make a pit stop again.
Also, waiter, Cheesecake, super awesome! Great dude! And it was his first day!

Parking: Street across from building- unsure if paid or free.

This bar used to be a mainstay of local Chattanooga bar culture. It was a place where locals could always find friendly faces and a familiar bartender. This year it came under new management - they fired their longest standing bartender and chased away most of their regular customers. Now it is just another soulless tourist trap. Beware the jankyard dog you will get food poisoning.

I called and asked for the manager and they left me on hold for 5 minutes, I hung up and called again and it was a voicemail of a very rude man saying “we’re busy!” and then hung up. very bad choice of a voicemail if you ask me
