One of the best local spots in Chattanooga. Ive been coming here since I was 16, first fried pickles I ever had and they are the best 20 years later. Pickle barrel is a staple for the fellow natives.
Food and ambiance was great. Service was slow and we had to remind the server 2 times that we ordered a drink.
Delicious food, wonderful server!
You are not secure in your papers if you go there. The doorman scans your driver's license into a database if you go there. Who knows what they do with that information. I have no problem showing my identification but I do have a problem for it to be scanned into a computer database without my prior knowledge until it was happening. BEWARE.
THe staff took 45 minutes to bring a menu then another 15 minutes to take our order due to them being focused on trying to flirt with female customers. Once food finally arrived waited 15 minutes on salt and pepper to be able to start eating our Now Cold food. Sandwich was supposed to have thousand Island dressing on it but it didn't have any on it so I asked for some in the side to correct the problem myself but then was charged extra for something that it was supposed to have on it. Brought it to the attention of the employee and he said he did not know but failed to offer to correct the extra charge went ahead and paid it other than having to mess with it. Their signature house roast beef for the sandwich was like fillet of work boots very tough and not very flavorful hence the need for a lot of salt to be able to eat it. The couple shining stars of food are the pierogies and the french fries the french fries are like a petal-shaped fry that is very unique. $26 for one person another table got the mozzarella cheese sticks and they were huge at one point stretched out 3 ft wide as they pulled apart the cheese unfortunately did not catch that one on camera. This is a older building with some great unique options the second floor is not accessible due to spiral staircase access only and a step that you may trip and fall when entering onto the upstairs patio use caution
We had a blast trying this restaurant / bar out. Looks like a super cool place to have a few beers with good company! My wife really enjoyed the quality of their pickles. The mango wheat beer I tried was amazing as well! The atmosphere was a solid 11 out of 10! Super super cool! We will be back if we visit this area again in the future
Make sure you have your id!! If you’re getting food they’ll check it
While traveling back to Bristol, we decided to stop in Chattanooga for lunch. Came across the Dill Pickle Barrel while searching restaurants on Google. After looking at the menu and seeing it would meet all the varying taste buds in the car, we drove 20 minutes across town just to be surprised by a paper sign on the door stating 21+ at all times. This should be one of the very first things posted on your website. It would have saved a lot of unnecessary time and frustration.
Great if you’re looking for more of a dive bar atmosphere! Cheap drinks, good food, and excellent service from Joelie!
This is such a cool atmosphere and fun place you can always count on to be open late!

This is a fun tiny pub with great food and drinks! The fries are huge! It has cozy seating and a nice heated covered balcony great for people-warching below. The staff are friendly. And the pickles are refreshing! There is a sign on the door that says you must be 21, so it's not the best place to bring children, but it's a cute place for a date or a night out with friends.

This place is awesome. My group balled out on food, drinks, desserts and it was super affordable. Our server was awesome. Can't remember his name but younger guy with real pretty eyes and I think a mustache. The building itself is sick and I loved all of it. I will be back to Chattanooga specifically to go here again.

They didn't appear to be real receptive when I first walked in. I sat down and it took a few minutes before someone came and asked if I needed anything. When someone did I just asked to sit at the bar because I figured I would get speedier service there. The waitress was awesome and made very good drinks. The food was good but I was slightly inebriated when it arrived. That's why I gave it 4 stars. I will give it another try to see how the service is. Maybe that was just a bad night. Because it was really busy and it was almost midnight.
Parking: Street parking was free around the time I went, but during the day it is a meter.
