The bartender allowed us to sit 5 minutes before close (we didn’t even realize). We didn’t know what we wanted and he jumped at the opportunity to recommend drinks of his own creation. He nailed it and we walked out after an enjoyable conversation completely satisfied.

Update your hours!!! I even called and the recording says they're open until midnight. I've tried to go twice. The last time was a tonight, Saturday at 9:30, before Halloween. The doors were locked but people were still there. Maybe it's great???? Who knows. Dumb. Just dumb.

Bought a gift card a month before my trip to Chattanooga a few weeks ago. Show up and the place is closed, not for the day closed for good. Someone inside said they were leasing out to someone else. Probably shouldn't accept money for gift cards if you plan on not having a restaurant anymore.

Proof is awesome. Gives newer chefs a place to use their talent without needing to open up an entire restaurant. Ordering is incredibly easy (from an app or directly from a server) and the staff is always so helpful and friendly.

The Brisket Meatball Yakamein and the Porch Sangria are to die for! I love the atmosphere, very jazzy. Reservations are easy too.

Went for the New Years Prix fixe menu. The apps were good with the Oyster being the standout. We had the Pork Belly main course, which was very satisfying. The only letdown was the dessert which seemed to have an imbalance in the component parts that left some bites bland and others a bit too sweet.

Have been to proof many times before but this time was different. Only offered the pop menu they had which was still good but would love a more concrete menu for those who don't want the pop. Understand the concept of the kitchen but disappointed on this visit.

Visiting from out-of-town and found this restaurant on Open Table. It gets great reviews, and has a very cool vibe. What you need to know is that the menu changes dramatically as different chefs cycle through to try new menu items (thus, the name Incubator). It’s important to know who is there and what they are offering — as menu seems to be limited. We came on a Friday night and it featured Ukko Pizza and a Patisserie.There were only four pizza choices. The eggplant vegetarian pizza was my favorite, and we all really enjoyed the very unusual presentation and version of a Caesar salad. The food was excellent and adventurous. Restaurant is on MLK and parking challenging as the payment kiosk wasn’t working and wouldn’t accept our payment ( got a ticket, thank you, so make sure you are able to pay — street parking is free after 6pm according to the waitress). Even though it was 95 degrees that day, we ate on the outside patio — fans made it tolerable. Also, very fun, creative cocktail options.

My friend and I greatly enjoyed our meals: po-boy shrimp and West African Red-red was a flavorful delight to my tastebuds. Delicious!! However, we were disappointed that we could not enjoy our meals on the patio. Seating was available both when we entered and when we left.

Went to experience brunch at Neutral Ground before the restaurant leaves Proof. Chef Kenyatta & staff did not disappoint! The honey buns were perfectly shareable and delicious. I recommend you go with a friend or two and order different dishes then share. The wait staff was courteous and attentive.

I've been to proof a few times now for an always pleasantly surprised by the menu and have only had good experiences with the serving staff. They now use a way or ordering and paying through a QR Code link. This is super convenient. I applaud their embracing this new technology. Bravo to the chef. The meals that I've had have always been delicious and the freshness of the ingredients is very evident. They have also had live music every time I've gone. A great support for the local music scene. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great experience all around! There's something for everyone. Love the QR code ordering system, makes everything so easy and fast! The African food that was there when I visited was to die for!

I met the chef and he came over with a delicious pastry we ordered and explained the dish to us and what to expect. The style of the place had great vibes. Customer service superb. The pic is not of the pastry but something my daughter ordered. We will be back for sure! I forgot to mention the food was great as well as my mimosas ?

Neutral Ground/Proof bar has THE best bowl in Chatt with the Brisket Meatball Yakamein! Sit down in front of this bowl and I promise you a religious experience. Next level menu and great cocktails. Don’t come tho I want this place all to my self lol??

What a wonderful day to visit for the first time for brunch! Absolutely fantastic wait staff and a casual day on the patio with excellent music. But the food and drink…???. Had the Everything Green cocktail, homemade biscuit with strawberry jam, and the Murasaki potato and farm egg hash. That meal was seriously one of the best meals I’ve even had. The flavor combinations were so delicious and everything was cooked perfectly by the chef representing Neutral Ground. Kudos to the chef and Proof Bar & Incubator for an excellent experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
