Your website doesn’t specify that 9am is too late for breakfast and the middle aged white woman (I assume she was the manager) that was wearing a black and white striped blazer on Sunday March 31 was extremely arrogant, nasty, and persistently rude. If she was going to be condescending the entire time I was waiting for my order with not only me, but with the staff, I wish she would have just told me she wouldn’t place my breakfast order instead of needlessly and persistently saying to her staff “have you checked to make sure this man’s order has been physically spoken to the staff since we are choosing to do him the kindness of making him this breakfast.” I felt like a huge bother. I could have easily been told no and been happy with just getting a muffin. All I did was place an order and the (very kind and sweet and helpful) young woman with the black curly hair mentioned (paraphrased) “we got it for you for sure I just have to go tell them about it because the system doesn’t pull the orders back to the kitchen because of a malfunction we are working on”. She was fantastic. It was the manager. But again. Why am I being mocked for a timing restraint that’s not listed on the menu on the website or in house? She kept loudly saying to the employee “since we are doing this for him make sure to go tell the kitchen”. “Did you tell the kitchen yet since we are doing this for him?”And to top it all off. I got the meal to my hotel room and it . . . was wrong. I don’t normally care about wrong orders but this was the icing on the cake. And … My fault for not checking. But to be that condescending and rude and then also give me the wrong thing. . . . . . . . . . To repeat: The girl with the black curly hair and the young girl with the auburnish hair were nice and apologetic and did great. It was the middle aged manager in the black and white striped blazer that was there at 9am on March 31st. If you don’t offer breakfast at 9am, fine. Just update it and say it on your website and please have staff that doesn’t make your guests feel like a burden for assuming your space exists and runs in the way it currently says it does on your website.

Bought coffee here this morning. Coffee is good and the prices are competitive with other coffee shops in the area.

Absolutely great place to get coffee! This shop is located inside of a hotel but still is great small coffee shop to go to. The barista there was testing different ways of making coffee and giving it the tests to customers to try. Also asked me a few more questions than usual to try and find a latte that would suit me. The atmosphere isn’t the best compared to others but the location and coffee are incomparable to a lot of cafes I have been to.

To be honest, my local coffee shop couldn’t make my Chai Latte this well

One of the best hotels I stayed at! We were greeted by Tyler and Joseph and they very friendly and welcoming. When we checked in we were provided a list of recommended restaurants and great information about the area. The hotel is within walking distance of the aquarium and a lot of different stores/restaurants. There was some street parking we found but there is the option of overnight valet for $29 which is half the price in comparison of other hotel valets I’ve encountered. The pricing of amenities and restaurant onsite are less than the kind of quality and are provided. This hotel is focused on guest experience and is my number one pick for Chattanooga!

I was thrilled to find the Edwin Hotel in my research on a place to stay on our recent trip to Chattanooga. It is in the perfect location, and our family enjoys staying in boutique hotels where we know we can count on excellent accommodation and service. As we pulled up to the hotel to check in, I was pleased with my selection, as you cannot beat the location in Chattanooga. However, my excitement quickly faded as soon as we approached the check in desk. There was no greeting, they essentially just asked for my ID and credit card and handed me a room key. There was no guidance on where to park our car/valet, how to get to our room, any services or amenities at the hotel, food options, or any nearby attractions. We inquired about a place to grab a bite to eat or a beverage, and were told the only place open at the hotel at the time did not allow kids (which seems silly in the first place as our 7 & 11 yo are incredibly well-traveled and join us in the finest of restaurants); no alternative outside the hotel was suggested. There was also no help with luggage. The room was okay, but nothing special. Nowhere to put suitcases, or to unpack them (no drawers), so the room was crowded and awkward to live out of for a couple days. I was hopeful my encounter with the front desk was just an off day, but future encounters proved to be the same - never any greetings upon entering the hotel, and the two additional times I stopped by the desk to inquire about any local events (it was 4th of July weekend) or suggestions, no one had anything to offer. There is no concierge. The morning I checked out, the person at the desk did ask how my stay was, and not being one to typically complain, I just kind of shrugged my shoulders and mentioned that the service was not what I would expect for a hotel at that price point. She said she would have a manager reach out, yet no one ever did. When I looked at my bill, I was felt duped - $1500 for two nights stay plus parking. I have no problem paying that for exceptional service and accommodation; however, this hotel was worth not even half of that for location, cleanliness, and comfortable bedding only. White Bird restaurant was good. Avoid the grab and go food from the coffee shop. This hotel has potential to be a standout in a truly special location; however, sadly, I will not choose this hotel next visit.

Great coffee shop in a great location! The vibe inside is super cool and it is literally right beside the Walnut Street Bridge! They are plenty of drinks to choose from and plenty of flavors! They also have great seasonal drinks that are great! The staff was friendly. The parking is a little hard in the area but not the shops fault. Definitely recommend!

Our stay at this venue was quite pleasant. The modern, minimalist decor immediately caught our attention as we entered, presenting a tastefully appointed space that was both comfortable and clean. The property, with its state-of-the-art amenities, was well-kept, a testament to a dedicated upkeep routine that we found commendable. During our stay, we had the opportunity to interact with James, an employee at the place, whose assistance added to our overall positive experience. With an approachable demeanor and thorough local knowledge, he provided us with a handful of eating and sightseeing recommendations, each carefully curated to match our preferences. These suggestions, ranging from a cozy Italian eatery to a less-traveled local park, offered us a chance to engage with the local culture in a more genuine way. In a nutshell, our visit was characterized by the venue's modern comforts, neatness, and commendable service, largely attributed to James. His invaluable input turned our trip into a rather enjoyable and memorable experience

I am a Chattanooga native and decided to go to this hotel to try the bar. The bartenders were super professional. This place has exceptional service. Right down to the service people of the hotel. A wonderful employee of the name of James heard me say, “I wonder if they have a pool”? He stopped what he was doing and toured me and my boyfriend to look at the pool on the roof. He was so kind and very thoughtful. I’m definitely thinking of doing a staycation at the Edwin.

We’ve been to the Edwin for drinks at Whiskey Thief and Brunch at Whitebird. (Both excellent) Our Anniversary stay was our first; everything was perfect from beginning to end. Attendant James was a stand out, offering to show us the view from the pool deck, after finding us in the library after hours. The vibe is Chic, Artsy, and Elegant. Convenient walking to the Walnut Street bridge, theater, and museum. We love visiting Chattanooga from Atalanta. We will be back.

The General Manager of the Edwin Hotel reached out to me, clarified the situation I experienced, and apologized. She also offered me compensation for the negative experience. That is the type of customer service expected from this caliber of hotel. Thank you Ms. Bell.

Great location and beautifully decorated! The staff were super friendly especially James. He showed us around the pool area and gave us some great tips for things to do and places to eat in Chattanooga. He was very knowledgeable about the city. The price was a little bit higher than other hotels in the area but it was definitely worth it!

The Hotel is ideally situated on the Tennessee River in downtown Chattanooga. The physical plant is stunning with art work suitable for a um. The rooms are well equipped and reasonably spacious.. We dined at the hotel restaurant, the White Bird. The food and service were good and prices reasonable. It is a bistro so do not expect fine dining with linens, etc. My complaint is about room service. As it was our anniversary I oredered full breakfasts which arrived the following morning. Imagine my dismay to find a staff at the door who handed me brown paper bags with breakfasts in boxes…plastic utensils and minuscule paper napkins included. (see photo). Not even any paper plates. We had to eat our scrambled eggs out of the boxes. The requested coffee was not included so we used the inroom Keurig. Surely the most expensive hotel in Chattanooga can do better. When checking out, the staff member asked me about my stay. I said, It was just OK….she didn’t reply.

This hotel was a HUGE disappointment. Although it is fabulously located and beautifully designed, it is extremely poorly managed. A feather free room was requested upon reservation due to serious allergies. Additionally, the front desk was called the day of check in to remind the staff; however, two down pillows and a comforter were in the room when we arrived. This type of neglect could have resulted in a tragedy. In addition the comforter was soiled with a dry, crusty yellowish substance. To see this in a luxury hotel was shocking, but more so was the manager’s LACK OF CONCERN when provided with the pillows and photos of the comforter.

What an awesome location! They have great amenities, cozy over the top rooms and centrally located to a lot of walking paths, the bridges and a lot of the nightlife. The bar on the roof of this place is excellent too. Excited to come back and stay here!
