I would consider public house an elevated meat and three type place which I like since we don’t have anything like that in town. We have always made reservations and get seated immediately. The staff has always been top notch as well. The bar makes a great drinks always the old fashions and they are great. For apps the pimento cheese and fried pickles are amazing but the bbq carrots and ranch are next level! I am a vegetarian so I always order the vegetable plate and everything is Fresh and good and not heavy or drenched in butter. For dessert always get the carrot cake and love it.
Our friends recommended this to us when we were passing through, and it is hands down the absolute best meal we’ve ever had. My husband got the steak, while I had the roasted quail. We also had the cornbread (I wish we bought one to take home!) and the Korean pork belly. Our server, Jacob, was so helpful and kind. This place is fabulous, and I can’t wait to come back!
Great food, lovely atmosphere!
Great sandwich and service
Always great. Parking available.
Great semi-private room. Good atmosphere. Food was good, not great. Service was acceptable. Not blown away, but not bad.
We live over an hour away, but we love lunching at this upscale restaurant whenever we can. While we've always had great service from the wait staff, Shannon is exceptional. Shannon is friendly, personable, efficient and always keeps our tea glasses full. They really have great iced tea, too.
As far as the food, lunchtime prices are very affordable and the menu varied. This time, I wanted fried chicken fingers, mashed potatoes and green beans. They purchase the chicken (and other meats) and veggies from nearby growers, so it's always fresh. There are items not purchased locally, but everything is always tasty and well seasoned.
Parking is located in a parking garage. Be sure to bring your parking stub with you for validated free parking. The restaurant is located on a corner street with lots of windows and outside seating weather permitting.
Salmon was cooked perfectly. The waiter Patrick was attentive and helpful
Excellent food and service!
I had an outstanding dining experience at this local Chattanooga restaurant, where the service exceeded all expectations. Our exceptional servers, John Lewis and Amy, provided impeccable hospitality during our graduation luncheon, ensuring that we had ample time to engage with each guest while maintaining attentive and seamless service. They thoughtfully refreshed our beverages and contributed to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The culinary offerings were equally impressive. We started with either a salad or a beef and vegetable soup. Most of our group enjoyed the expertly prepared salmon, followed by a delightful cookie banana pudding and a crème brûlée that perfectly finished out our meal. From start to finish, this establishment delivered excellence in both service and cuisine, making it a truly memorable occasion.

Food and service was awesome! Great home cooked meal atmosphere! The old fashioned was on point! We will definitely be back!
The food was perfect for the price paid. Staff was very attentive and friendly.
Great customer service and did a great job catering food. I hope to use them more often. Thank you for taking an order so soon and having it ready next day.
Great experience & service! Meatloaf was incredible
What a beautiful little gem 💎 my family of 5 came here for lunch. Our waitress was knowledgeable and kind. Two of us ordered from the specials she shared. The food was fresh and just what I was looking for. We ordered salmon, burgers, catfish sandwich, chicken pot pie and key lime pie between the 5 of us and everything was eaten. I especially loved the slaw. Thank you for a wonderful visit from NC.
