Food was good: I ordered the Gravy and Biscuits, and my date ordered the general breakfast (I forgot what it was called; but it had scrabbled eggs, a biscuit, and meat), and an we ordered a stack of pancakes on the side.
The gravey and biscuits were good, with the gravy being excellent (especially with the sausage). The eggs, the bacon, and my date said the fried green tomatoes were excellent. The pancakes were really good (and the syrup was warm, a definite plus!)
If I had to complain about anything, the biscuits were kinda hard on the bottom, but they were soft on the inside (I think they were made earlier in the day and kept warm).
Other than the food, the benches don't have patting on them, so it can get uncomfortable after sitting a while. If you can fix that and maybe have the warming of the biscuits be better; they weren't bad, just a little hard on the bottom (when you cut them a knife, they were a little hard).
Would definitely be back and would recommend for breakfast.

Well, this was a bit of a shock. As a frequent flyer at Ruby Sunshine in Knoxville, I was positive to have a great experience.
Boy was I wrong.
The waitress was fabulous, kind and sweet to my tiny person.
However, that's where the positive experience ended.
Coffee was luke warm.
Gravy tasted like it was straight from a (very old) can.
Biscuits were dry and burned, as were the eggs.
Chocolate milk my tiny asked for was oddly flavored.
The manager seemed to be micromanaging extra hard and hovering over people's shoulders, making them even more unpleasant ( when we were being sat, the waitress and the hostess had between altercation because the table wasn't wiped down yet; hostess was trying to help, but the waitress didn't understand that and ripped into her.. thank goodness we got to work with a different person).
Needless to say, I feel like I wasted 50+ bucks. But it was a valuable lesson, and we will never go back. It is a shame that we drove for 2 hours, counting on a decent breakfast before a busy day but encountered this nonsense.
I am a test mystified of the 4.6 Stars this place has on Google reviews.

Love the place in general. The pork tasso sauce is to die for. Chicken was a bit overcooked and dry, but otherwise it was a very pleasant experience
