When you walk into this establishment the hosts greets you with a warm genuine smile. Asked if a high top was ok and it was more than ok ,seats very comfortable,even though we were close to the kitchen it was great watching the staff and kitchen preparing food drinks and watching how efficiently the restaurant ran with each of their roles. Staring into the hot oven was mesmerizing watching the food spin around. I ordered a coffee and it was the pressed kind we make when we camp . Soooo good ,brought with raw cane sugar and crème presented beautifully. Then the food! Ala carte is their style. How do you choose!? Well, we are sucker for the fried mushrooms and had to get those for starters they are NOT just bar style button fried mushrooms .. They are the best mushroom quality panko fried with amazing horseradish dip I could drink that stuff . We normally stick to our favorites verde chicken but the menu changed a lot since we visited last and none of our family ever got anything bad so we ventured and I got swordfish and mashed potatoes paired with red wine and my husband fried chicken that tastes like a hug! And Whole roasted okra fries with beers and server never left him asking for more. Wish I caught her name. She was delightful. The older gentleman that brought out the food said the swordfish was his favorite I was glad to hear I’d never had swordfish that I can recall and when I put in my mouth it was bussin with so many flavors cooked to perfection capers a yellow lemon sauce with onions peppers and I ate every bite. Husband had leftover chicken bc it seemed like the whole bird which is great and fries left over perfect portion for his lunch next day . Unfortunately we didn’t make it to dessert. On our way out we were wished a farewell and more smiles. From the beginning to the end this place has never disappointed. bill was over $100 but that’s typical we did order alcohol. Parking was plenty and bathrooms clean as well. Handicap accessible in every way. Kid friendly

Good food !! Appetizers - Pita and whipped feta was amazing. Had sword fish almond truffle, red snapper as entrees and both tasted very good. Coconut tres leches was very good.

Expensive trendy place. The food, service and atmosphere are good but we prefer Lakeside Grille (less expensive, easier to drop in without reservation) or Alleia (similar prices better food), or their sister restaurant The Boathouse (better atmosphere different food choices). Sidetrack is worth a visit but we like the others mentioned more.
We were told the wait wouldn’t be long at all, waited over 30 minutes only to be told there were 7 tables that still needed to leave. The host needs to communicate clearly on that we will probably never come back.

A solid 5 stars. Everyone at our table of four enjoyed their meals and the server was picking up some clean plates! Strongly recommend. Parking was plentiful and free. They do take reservations but we arro Ed without any and waited about twenty minutes.
