I was very surprised with this place. The seasoning on the food was just right.I ordered a coffee that came out tasting perfect, I did not add anything to the coffee. The ONLY negative things that kept me from giving 5 stars was the at there were some gnats flying around and the service needs a little improvement. For example: I really wanted to know what they did to the coffee to make it taste so good, but the server didn’t seem to be in the talkative mood. Also, when they delivered the food to the table, they told me (did not ask) to make room on the table. It was a little rude. Imagine looking down on your phone and then having someone suddenly standing over you demanding/telling you to move stuff when they come up to the table. It’s just common courtesy to say words like “excuse me” or “please”.Regardless I was still pleasantly surprised with the food and coffee.

Very good food with the correct level of spice. Friendly service in a slightly old-fashioned space.

I enjoyed Bittu and him explaining things to us. The Shrimp masala was amazing. I liked the veggie curry, but not as much as the masala. The Naan was perfect. I needed more. You get plenty of rice and it was good too!Vegetarian options: I would prefer more and different types of veggies

I order the chicken biryani and garlic naan twice a week, and I'll keep coming back. Everything I've ever had from Sitar has been delicious.

We ordered tea at this restaurant, the taste was too pathetic. We asked the manager to serve us the fresh tea, but he denied arrogantly. The service is not good. Other things in food were okay.

Only good Indian restaurant in whole Chattanooga. I have been there 2 times and one time ordered to go. My go to dish would be veg thali which is slightly expensive but good one. 20$ is expensive for the thali but downtown justifies it. ambience is ok ok and bathrooms needs improvement. Chai is best one.

The food is just like any other Indian Resturant. Its good and the spices really kicked in. I felt communication could be improved as they frequently used language other than English while interacting with us, which might have been to feel us more like home, but not every non-white customer speak Hindi, do they?

Sitar is a jewel of an Indian Eatery. Lots of parking, awesome menu, and a very attentive staff. The menu is varied and well priced. The vegetable Samosas were nice, as was the pappadams. The lamb Saag was brilliant! If you love a great Curry, Sitars is for you.
