Decided to visit this place as the reviews were raving and the menu looked pretty good. Food was subpar at best and the profiling continues.

My wife and I went on a date and drove an hour to get here, right away we saw the business of a Friday night, but not stressful Friday night. The atmosphere was so fun and inviting, and my wife got the Aji Shrimp Bowl, and I ordered the Fried Beef Tacos, and this place literally sends you to a whole new level of flavor! Absolutely worth the wait and worth the experience! You’re missing out if you don’t try this restaurant!

Great spot for brunch. Plenty of seating outside in the sun. Huston took great care of us!

I had the best time and my server was attentive and sweet and checked on me a lot even if the Restaurant was getting busy ! Great vibe !

The jambalaya was delicious and the service was top notch. Will definitely be back next time we're in Chattanooga.

Let me begin by saying that the food was delicious. The only disappointing aspect of the experience was the first person we encountered upon arrival. This was our first time there. We arrived at the host stand and was greeted poorly by Vincent. He was rude which soured us on the place initially especially being our first time. The inside staff was significantly better. You really have to be mindful of who you place up front.. the first contact with the customers. The beef tacos, the jambalaya were delicious. I would definitely recommend the place for the food. Service is extremely important to me so did not appreciate the initial encounter but the ladies inside redeemed the place with their wonderful service.

The food was very good but our service was not the best. Our server was not friendly and she disappeared for quit some time. When we finally waved her down for more water she sent another server to bring it to us. At the end we did speak with a manager and voiced our concerns. She apologized, which we appreciated but I was definitely disappointed in the service.

We loved state of confusion! Hannah, our waitress, was wonderful. The food and vibe were also great 🤗

Fun restaurant with a casual vibe. Service was outstanding with personable waitress. She made great recommendations and kept us from ordering too much food. Try the bologna sliders. nothing like the ones that we had as kids. They were so good! Their mojito's are delicious and are made with syrup from freshly pressed sugar cane instead of simple syrup. They are as close to true Cuban Mojito's as you can get.

The food and drinks are delicious, the service is excellent, but what ruins it is the carrion-filled odor that comes from Pilgrim's and contaminates the entire place, a horrible smell. I don't know why the local authorities haven't taken action yet, as it's certainly affecting all commerce and tourism in this beautiful city.

When a business is known to racially profile & discriminate they’ve set the tone for an unwelcoming atmosphere. Plus their eggrolls suck 👎🏾

This place racially profiles customers! absolutely disgusting and disappointing behavior from this restaurant.

Connor Madison Hall

This business racially profiles its customers and does not create a safe or welcoming space for people from diverse backgrounds. Very disappointing experience.

Our server and service was amazing! She was so good. Wish I could remember her name. Food was great except for the ceviche. We usually love it but last night it didn't seem as fresh. But love State of Confusion and will be back.
