Great food and service for a Friday lunch. Susie was great. The sloppy joes taco is probably the best taco I've ever had and so were the sweet potato fries.

I got the vegan chorizo and potato tacos, and they were really good. Very flavorful and filling! My daughter got the vegan avocado tacos and felt the same way. Clearly marked options, big fan! Updated from previous review on 2026-02-22

There are 2 vegan flavors for tacos, and 4 others that “can be made vegan” upon request. The symbol indicating the optionally vegan options is not consistently placed and at first i thought there were only the 2 options labeled vegan. Once i figured out what to order, it was pretty good. The chipotle turnip greens were great and i also liked the avocado taco and the taco with plantains. If there’s a crunchy taco option, i’ll try it next time. The tortilla on the soft taco was nothing special. If you have a hard time with spicy, press your server about spice level. One flavor i ordered for my kid that she said wasn’t spicy was definitely not “mild” Updated from previous review on 2026-01-01

Always a great time at Taco Mamacita downtown! The food hits every single time, the vibe is fun, and Susie was absolutely amazing—so friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

You have to experience it yourself. Newly renovated. Relaxing and tasteful atmosphere , including the staff, Taylor and manager. It’s too delicious. Affordable . Highend at an affordable price. I don’t know what else to say but go there. If you enjoy food and fun…it has it all , signature drinks and outside /garage door type seating with heaters for the winter.

First time back since the remodel. Excellent food and stellar service as always. Our server Kel was the one of the best servers we’ve ever had in Chatt so ask for him if you go!

I was told by milk And Honey,there was a waiting period,I am served by Missy,who is on the job there,my second choice was MAMACitas.They have the best wings in town and THAT'S what ah 😁 got .I picked those bones free.Have 7 different employees helped Me.

The food was good, but the staff messed up our order. Being the friendly staff they were, they fixed our order quickly. I would recommend going here, just please make sure that you state your order clearly.

Get the po' boy thank me later. Only complaint is the wait time but with a restaurant this good it's expected.

They got our drinks wrong, got my food wrong, and my 5 year old daughter had a big chicken bone in her taco. This place use to be the place to go. Now they skimp you on the drinks and neglect to handle their food correctly.

Tonight was our first time back since the remodel. They did such an amazing job. I loved the new traditional menu(oxymoronic right) and had a couple OG favorites (Baka fish is still the best). My wife had plenty of soup leftover for lunch tomorrow. Little one loved the kids menu. You really can't ask for a better experience.

Atmosphere had good vibes and the service was great. I also loved the outdoor seating, and the food was delicious… also it’s more Tex Mex than authentic Mexican. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it would have been better if they served 3-4 tacos instead of just 2 for the birria tacos. It came with 2 tacos and 1 side for $15. The birria nachos were excellent though!

Our first visit to this restaurant. Our server was a very nice young man. Service was fast and we enjoyed our time. Everyone that stopped by our table to drop drinks or food off were super friendly. We got a trio of salsas (mango, pineapple, and salsa verde.) With the exception of the salsa verde they were good. I did not enjoy the verde at all unfortunately. If the smell of weed was a flavor, it would be this salsa. My husband got nachos and enjoyed them. I got two tacos (al pastor and pollo asada) and ended up letting my husband eat most of them. I just wasn’t a big fan. But, we have friends that recommended the restaurant to us and they loved every bite of everything they ate. So maybe I’m just weird.
