I wanted to love this place. We were in town from Atlanta and took an Uber, only to find they temporarily closed due to maintenance issues. I had heard rave reviews but unfortunately didn’t get to try it.
I ordered a meal for delivery today and I was very disappointed. I was disappointed in the quality of the food. I was very disappointed in the portion size. The food looked nothing like the photographs of plump juicy chicken and large portions. I ordered the chicken breast quarter plate for $13.25. In my opinion that price point for this little bit of food is not total rip off. The breast quarter that I got was actually smaller than a single chicken thigh for most chickens. I would not ever recommend this restaurant to anyone if they have not tried it before just simply based on the quality food I got for the price and the misleading portion size.

My son and I visited Chattanooga for the tow show over the weekend and we were looking to eat some wings at a local establishment while we were there. I had asked a few locals where to go, but all of there recommendations were either chain restaurants or places further then we wanted to travel. Thank goodness for Google, as this establishment was one of the 1st ones to pop up for chicken wings. Plus, it was a short drive from where we were staying. I knew as soon as we walked in that this place was special. It has a real down home feel about it and an amazing aroma that comes from the kitchen. I had originally ordered 10 “hot” wings, thinking that they were gonna be your average heat level. The very kind waitress (thankfully) warned me that their “hot” was really hot 🥵. I enjoy spicy seasoned foods, but I also like to enjoy it as well. So I decided to listen to her and order half hot/ half medium. What I great idea that was, as the hot flavored wings about took my breath away lol. They were so good, but hot hot hot! The medium flavor was perfect for me, with just the right amount of spicy. So if you looking for some great tasting chicken wings and maybe even want to burn your lips off lol… Then this is the place to come. I give it 5 stars and will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to town.
Great family owned restaurant. Service and food were good. Be warned even the mild was a little bit spicy. Recommend the fish and chicken combo with mac and cheese

Been coming to this place since they were on Brainerd rd and I’ve been ordering the same thing for years, 10 tenders, and it’s always been $16.38 but now I go and my brother orders 5 tenders it came out to $17.44 which makes absolutely no sense and when I told the owner he said that it’s cheaper if I ordered multiple and I told him it does not make no sense and made me pay for it without giving me a valid reason as to how it came to that much. I will never come back here again and it’s sad because I’ve always gave glowing reviews about this place to friends and family but not anymore as far as I’m concerned they lost a loyal client and they can go straight to hell.

The best. You’re not going to find a better chicken & fish & sides place in Tennessee. Try the catfish, wings or tenders and you’ll see what I mean.
I tried a catfish plate at Champy’s the other day and regretted it, it was nowhere near the level of the Flaming Rooster’s (FR has a much bigger portion and better quality).
There are several hot chicken places in TN, and I prefer this place to every Nashville spot. Consistently amazing, thank you so much!!!!
