Honest Pint is in a beautiful old building in downtown Chattanooga. Popped in on a Friday and it was surprisingly dead. I had the pomme tots and a burger plus beer which was all good and cooked right. The only issue was the service. Very slow and not as attentive as they should be.

Closed its doors for good on May 29, 2023. 13 years in existence. Farewell!

The food here is wonderful but they don't have that many beers on draft. The atmosphere is loud.

A lovely interior full of original wood paneling and staircases. If you don't care about that you will definitely care about the great selection of adult beverages and fantastic food. The staff is as attentive as you want them to be. If you haven't been here, definitely come and try a Scotch egg, an ale and enjoy the scenery.

I'd like to start by saying I've been here quite a few times and have always had a positive experience. However, my experience tonight left a really bad taste in my mouth.I arrived here at 8pm with my boyfriend and his brother (age 19). We are well aware of the fact that the age cut off starts at 9, but figured we would have an hour to grab some food and play a little pool and then leave by 9pm.We went upstairs to secure our pool table, and we noticed that no one came up to take our food or drink order like they normally do. No biggie. After 10 minutes, my boyfriend went downstairs and ordered a drink at the bar, and asked the bartender for some food menus and she told him that someone would be upstairs to take our order. Ten minutes later, I went downstairs to order myself a drink, and asked for some food menus and asked if it would be easier for staff if we just placed our food order as the bar. She assured me that someone would be up shortly to take our order.30 minutes later, someone approached us and immediately ID's my bf's brother and basically kicks him out for being under age. Why the hell did it take 50 minutes for someone to come take our order? If we actually had some service when we first arrived, we could have had our food and left in time for the age cut off.I'm super disappointed with this experience. If they were short staffed, they could have simply communicated this to either my bf or myself the two separate times we were at the bar. We would have been more than happy to place our food order and bring it upstairs ourselves.I would understand if it was a busy night, but it literally was not busy at all.

I’m hoping we just hit this place on an off night. I feel like it has so much more potential than what we experienced. The food was sub par and the service was seriously lacking. I'm all about second chances though! Give it a go and let me know how it was for you.

Probably my favorite bar in town. I always feel so incredibly welcome and everyone is supet friendly! Great drinks, delicious food and an inclusive, warming environment! Karaoke nights are always a vibe!

We went for a get together with friends. The atmosphere was great and our waitress was amazing. The food is sooo good. We got fried pickles, blackened wings, and the pint dip. Everything was fresh and very tasty. We will definitely be back.

Nice alternative space for people of all lifestyles. Drag bingo is always my favorite, but kareoke nights are very lively too. The servers are all amazing but my personal favorite is Paul!

Don't go for food, the scotch eggs we had were off, then I saw more served to others who didn't eat them either. Good beers and people but food is a hazard.

We arrived and walked into an open door and was told they were closed for a private event with no signage present, manager was rude in a sickly sweet sort of way.

I have been here two times now and have had similar experiences both times. First off, this place has so much potential to be a great restaurant/bar. However, the first you notice upon entering the place is a strange odor. We sat at the bar and ordered a drink and some food, the bartender recommended the tots that are "amazing" for an extra $1. So I ordered the tots and new pint philly. Let me begin by saying the philly was on a hamburger bun and the tots were ice cold. I couldn't even eat them. This wasn't even bar-level food, it was just bad. Was unable to tell the bartender because she never came back to check on us except to bring the check. My glass was empty for 20 minutes before being offered another, and the bartender was not busy at all, as she was standing in the corner on her phone. Last but not least, the staff had sandwich meat and other things sitting out behind the bar, making themselves food and eating while handling other peoples food/drinks.

Full disclosure I went here for an event and I believe they had bitten off more than they could chew. As such the service and perhaps the food suffered. So take this review with a grain of salt against others. The food here leaves much to be desired. After a long wait (about 25 minutes) we snagged the attention of a server as he passed by and asked if he could send our server our way. He opted to take our order instead. They were already out of ingredients to make the nights signatures. It still took a long time to get our drinks and they were weak upon arrival.I will say that the atmosphere was AMAZING! Everyone was having a blast! Constant buzz and a lovely environment conveyed a different message than that nights service implied. Everyone was having a good time. All in all I look forward to giving this place a shot in a non event night and giving them another fair shake.

I used to come here pretty regularly When i was a student at UTC, now it’s a treat when I can come back and visit and get the tots. I came in last Sunday and unfortunately they were out of the tots, beans, and the broccoli. That leaves the sides pretty barren. We got the Cheese dip, as it’s a fave of mine, though it used to be served with soda bread which is what really made it, nowadays (or at east when we visited Sunday) it was served with like crunchy crostinis. Dip was still good, but I’ll probably pass on it unless they bring back the soda bread. I tried the Thai Peanut Salmon for the first time (as a broke college student, the Rooster was a goto and a highly recommend for cheap good sandwich). It was okay, it really seemed like it was just a spread of creamy peanut butter on top of a well-cooked salmon. I didn’t pick up on any spice that maybe made it seem more Thai? It was by no means bad, just not something I’d probably order again. All in all, I’d still recommend Honest to any travelers or locals, mostly to order the tots. Our waitress said to come in on Thursday to ensure we get tots, because they’re closed Mondays and Tuesdays. I’ve had plenty of their cocktails, no complaints there. The inside is what really makes Honest stand out, I was once told it used to be a church, then a brothel, and some time became the Irish pub we know and love today, whether there’s any truth to that, i dont know, but the inside is beautiful. I loved Honest as a college student and I’ll still come back anytime I visit. I recommend you do too!
