Big menu, but that usually just makes it harder for the kitchen to execute all dishes well. I ordered the rather expensive eggs benedict that came with a tough, chewy english muffin that was almost impossible to cut through with a knife. The egg whites were really runny, and the ham was of not very good quality. This disappointment was topped by what seemed to be canned hollandaise sauce. And the home fries probably would have been good if they had been hot. They were just barely lukewarm. Wow, for $13 this was almost criminal. In addition, there was not one single condiment on the table (salt, pepper, ketchup, etc.,) that was not dirty. Which is just disgusting. Customers should not be expected to handle a filthy ketchup bottle or salt shaker. I will not be returning. I hope the hygiene in the kitchen far exceeds the cleanliness of their table settings.

Yikes!! Unhinged host. Rude would be an understatement. Asked to see manager, he claimed to be manager. Highly doubtful. I have eaten here before and had good experiences, but this time things just were terrible. Never again!!

Typical 24 hour diner but when we couldn't decide what to eat while staying in town for the weekend, one night we ended up here. They have a huge selection of goods, and even "huger" portions. I don't think anyone left without to go boxes.

The ultimate diner experience! I come here every time I'm in Chattanooga The ambiance is amazing.

There is no denying this diner offers every kind of cuisine known to man but that’s the problem. When you offer so much you can’t focus on quality. We had five different entrees and none of us enjoyed what we ordered. The staff seemed almost bothered that we were there. It did not have that classic diner experience of friendly servers, great burgers, and yummy shakes. If you do eat here you should probably stick to the pancakes because they are pretty hard to mess up.

Never ate here. The manager yelled at several customers, and staff about people waiting to be seated. Then we were told to leave and wait outside in the 30 degree weather. We comply and go to wait outside and my disabled wife gets yelled at by the manager for moving too slow and the door is open.

The food was so good and servings were large! Waitress was exceptional. They were busy so took a bit to order but it was well worth the wait! Desserts looked amazing but was too full to try them. They have parking so dont pay to park. We ate the Reuben and French Dip.

We visited based on the TripAdvisor reviews and were very disappointed. The menu is great and the atmosphere is perfect, it's everything else which was lacking. Our orders were incorrect. The fork bent when cutting my waffle. Syrup and coffee refills were only available if we flagged down a staff member when they stuck a toe out into the dining room. I walked in wanting to love the place and left with the desire not to return. I don't know if it was on of day or they depend on their customers being to drunk to notice how bad they're excecuting their mission.

We stopped in for dessert and we were not disappointed! The cakes are delicious!! Our waitress was a great joy and interacted with our kids like a pro.

First let's talk about the convience of this restaurant. This was great to have such a close restaurant to the hotel. I had 3 meals while I was here. I had a dinner and breakfast twice. The first I had was a pork chops dinner. 2 big ole juicy pork chops fried to perfect. The sides were steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. The service was great and left we wanting to come back. Now the breakfast was ok but left a little to be desired. I ordered 2 eggs with cheese and turkey bacon. The cook on both days could use a little training on doing scrambled eggs. The eggs were basically served as a eggs and cheese omelet, not scrambled. The next day they were a little better buy still almost in omelet form. The turkey bacon was cooked to perfection both days. While I sound a little picky about the eggs ,I would definitely return and recommend you visit. This made it nice to have such a nice restaurant so close to my hotel. Plus it's just a short walk to and from the free Carta shuttle that runs from the Choo to to down town and back. Ooh let's not forget the Reeses pb pie. A big ole huge piece of luscious pb pie. City cafe diner has a great selection of desserts. You could actually got here just for dessert and be quite happy. A HUGE selection of pies and cakes.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were ignored for a seemingly long period of time. The hostess/cashier did not acknowledge us for over 5 minutes. Standing at the sign that said "wait to be seated" near the door was very awkward. That certainly could have been avoided. The food was fantastic and our wait staff did a great job. We both ordered club sandwiches which were tasty and generous portions. The dessert cakes were on display, looked amazing, and there was plenty of variety. But we were too full to try. As we checked out, the same one that ignored us upon entering, was scrolling on her phone and never thanked us or interacted much at all. I truly hope the management takes notice before a bad employee costs them business.

Went here on 2 different occasions in the same weekend. It's a very popular location, because it always had a line. I was at the convention center, and it was a close walk. I got breakfast for dinner one night. I thought it would take a while because of the time. I was surprised at how fast it was. The service was very good. I had a waitress named Rey that night, and she did a great job!Another night I went with a group for the cake and pie!! Obviously, this is what this place is known for! They had all types of cakes, pies, cookies, and other desserts. I got the German chocolate, and my friend got the Reese's pie. I couldn't finish mine. Definitely a great late night dessert place!!
