My girlfriend and I dined here on New Year's Eve. We had a wonderful nite. The food was superb, especially the Shrimp'n'Grits! It has a very nice, comfortable environment. The stuff was friendly and we had an all around wonderful time. Will do again!

My wife and I arrived a few minutes early but were immediately seated. We ordered the trout almondine with green beans with a side of mashed potatoes and a green salad. We accompanied this with a white wine (pinot grigio). The food was excellent in every regard. This was our anniversary and we were offered complimentary deserts with coffee. We had dined at Public House last year on our anniversary and used our $10 off card. The waitress was attentive and presented us with another $10 off card for use next year. We will be back for this occasion again for sure but also will be eating at this fine establishment other times throughout the year. The prices here are very reasonable. Chattanooga is lucky to have this restaurant.

Public House went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner special. Upon arrival, we were greeted with “Happy Anniversary” and a sweet note and gift certificate were waiting for us at our table. On top of all that, we were offered a delicious complimentary dessert. The food was delicious and our server was very attentive, efficient and friendly. 5/5 stars!

Public House has been one of our favorite restaurants for many years and it was a great date night in the city.

We had a great first experience here. There were 11 of us, but we had a reservation and were seated immediately in a semi-private room. Our server was attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. And to top it off, the service staff gave us a small gift for our anniversary. Well done Public House!

Ian, our server, was great. Didn't bat an eye that one of our guests was gluten free. Or that some of us just got small plates. Drinks were delicious. And they had written a personal Happy Birthday card !

Noah was amazing assisting us with every need and as always Laura taking care of everyone! Thank you!

We frequent Public House for lunch, because the menu offers a wide variety of selections and it's always fresh. We were seated on the patio with hesitation due to frigid outdoor temperatures. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice and warm it was with the enclosure. Our server, Scot, was excellent! He greeted us promptly making suggestions from the daily specials and checking to make sure everyone was pleased with their choices. He kept our drinks full and ensured we had a great experience. Everyone had different items from the menu, and all were very tasty. Please visit and don't forget to ask for Scot. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I have eaten at Public House on many occasions, lunch or dinner. We have always been very satisfied with our meals. Last evening we were disappointed in the salmon dip....there was barely enough for 3 people to share. The trout almondine was delicious, as well the the pot roast. Service in the bar area was not very good. We waited quite a while to be greeted and a long time for someone to take our drink and appetizer order. We are hoping this experience was just due to a Friday night during the Xmas holiday season.

Outstanding in every way: from a very creative honey-infused cocktail, to unique appetizers, and wonderful pot roast, food and drink were perfect! They also have the best service we've experienced in Chattanooga!

We arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation. We had to wait, which was fine; we didn't expect them to accommodate us early. After waiting for about 10 minutes, the hostess offered us a booth in The Social explaining there was a birthday celebration at the table they had reserved for us. We took this to mean we might have to wait beyond our reservation time and took the booth, which was described as “family-friendly.” The Social is a completely different atmosphere than Public House. It's dark and loud and the service was slow. Same great menu and kitchen as Public House. Very much a great place to get a burger and beer, but not the atmosphere we were looking for when we made a dinner reservation for our family at Public House.

When we arrived, there was no one at the hostess station. Service was excellent once we were seated. The food was satisfying, and the scallop appetizer was delicious. The pecan praline carrot cake was interesting. We would give it another try.

BBQ carrot appetizer was awesome. Trout was excellent and grouper special was really good. First time there and we will be back soon.
