My brother split a variety platter that had a filet of catfish, whitting, perch, and tilapia that could be prepared fried or steamed with 2 sides. We also had a blackberry cobbler and peach cobbler. The food is very good! This a go to spot when ever I am in Chattanooga!

Second the food will slap the taste of every food you ever tasted right out your mouth and fill your senses with pure pleasure. A+++ hands down definitely will be returning. Thank you

The guys there were great! Food was amazing. We were visiting from Reno,NV on vacation and me being from Florida and having lived in Chattanooga over a decade ago finding these guys... amazing. Sure its fast food ish but the guys working here were great... in fact I hope our friends leg heals up well. We found these guys on a youtube video and it didnt disappoint. Food was spot on and even though a small mom and pop type fastish food place... This had to be the best catfish I have had. Granted I usually go to Cracker Barrel for catfish cravings and we have a local joint that is great but these guys slapped me with their amazing fish and excellent service even when we didnt expect much walking in. The youtube documentary really shoved us into the perfect direction after our railroad museum tour.

This place is great. Food was great and freshly cooked. Speed of service was fast. Workers are friendly. Price is good. Atmosphere was doable. That could have been better but with the price you pay, not much leftover money to make pretty. I'll be back

Uncle Larry's has been on our list to try for awhile. Just happened to see that they had a new location on Hwy 58.Exceeded our expectations. Service was very friendly and super helpful.Catfish plate was ?. Fried fresh and to perfection. Greens, Coleslaw and hush puppies rounded out a delicious meal. Large serving.Will be back for sure.

Just finished eating at Uncle Larry's on Hwy 58 and as always, didn't disappoint!Everything here is done right from the seasoning in the fish breading, the smoke in the greens, and the flavor in the white beans. Everything is seasoned just right and comes to the table hot.The customer service makes you feel like home. Thanks for feeding me well!Don't forget to try a piece of the strawberry cake, it's like eating strawberry shortcake in every bite!!

Uncle Larry's was my go to. I knew when I placed an order my fish was going to be fresh and perfectly seasoned. My drink was going to be cold and refreshing. My dessert was going to be decadent and tasty. And the customer service was always spot on. Today I wonder who dropped the ball. About maybe an hour and a half ago I placed an almost $89 order via door dash and let me say....I honestly feel my meal should've been everything I remember and more and I'm highly agitated and disappointed at this point. I thought I was ordering an awesome treat for my whole family to enjoy and instead I got flavorless food with terrible dessert and nothing about anything I ordered tasted ANYTHING like what im used to from Uncle Larry's. I really feel this was a fumble. I will never order anything from this restaurant again unless I go in store and can see them make it. It wasn't worth any of what I paid and it's sad money loss. I expected so much more from one of my favorite black owned restaurants in my city. I'm surely a sad customer tonight.

You don’t need to say much about this place. Just go. We had a hard time getting here since they close a bit early but oh my god it was worth it. Hands down one of the best meals I had in my entire month long stay in Chattanooga. I think about the one meal I had here all the time. The fried fish and fried okra were absolutely exceptional, though given how outstanding the food was I think I’d try any of the food on the menu.

Had a Fried Whiting sandwich from the temporary food cart parked at the soon-to-be-open East Brainerd location. The fish was tasty, crispy, lightly breaded, and piping hot. Wish the fries were a little more crispy, but that may just be a personal thing.Danny was awesome and has a great personality.Uncle Larry was with the inspector which means once approved, the new permanent location will soon be open. Really looking forward to having this option out in the food desert known as East Brainerd Road.

Uncle Larry's was the number one spot in my Google search for best places to eat in Chattanooga, so who are we not to visit!Upon entering, we met the son of Uncle Larry! He was helpful, as I joked with him on their number one rank and that they had to prove it to me, lol! Boy, did they everI ordered fried catfish, hushpuppies and fried okra. I am not even an okra fan, but I didn't want fries. Every order is made to order so you will wait, but once that hot fish plate was placed before me, my eyes became enlarged. The plate looked good....and now for tasteThe fish was breaded, seasoned and cooked to perfection. I hsshaahsassphass'd my way through that hot fish! And for those who don't know what that means, it means I was eating the fish while it was still very hot.Uncle Larry's son was attentive and made sure that he let us know why they are #1.Please come to Uncle Larry's and check out their menu. It's a nice size menu, but if the rest of the items are as good as this catfish was, you will not be disappointed!
