We had lunch today at Urban Stack. Their specialty is Burgers and they know how to make them! We got two different ones and split them so we could try both. I got the Italian burger and sweet potato waffle fries and my friend got the fried green tomato burger and regular fries. It was a close race but we both agreed the Italian burger won! We split on the fries. I loved the sweet potato and she liked the regular. We had an awesome waitress, Caroline. She hadn't been there...
It’s a fun atmosphere, but the service is hit or miss and the food, well, is noting special. They try very hard to be hipster-y with their recipes and in turn, it isn’t very good. If I have to add basic things like salt and pepper to make a basic burger edible, you’ve missed the mark.
Also, they add things like cloves to their turkey burger and their veggie patty …. Not great.

We were greeted right away and seated quickly, which set a great first impression. Our waitress, Grace, was outstanding — she walked us through the specials, pointed out the drink features, and had our drinks out in no time. We ordered the French Onion Soup, House‑Cut Fries, an Orange Crush, the North Carolina Chili Cheeseburger, and a Chocolate Shake. Everything tasted great and came out fast, exactly how you hope a visit will go. The food was hot, fresh, and full of flavor....
