Old warehouse near train tracks. Restored into a coffee house/roasters. They have great nitro brew. And it comes in a cold mug.

This is my new favorite place! Love interior vibe going on and the outdoor seating is nice when it’s not too hot. Yummy snacks and great coffee. Definitely going to try their Tour de Brunch!

Drip coffee was fantastic, and I think my spouse had a decaf cold brew, which he also enjoyed. He also ate the entire peanut butter muffin before I could taste it — so that speaks to the muffin’s flavor! 😂
Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Very nice coffee shop, unfortunately most of the visitors were there to work 💻 or read 📖, not really for coffee, which made it difficult to find a table.
The coffee was delicious, and the service was pleasant!

Nice coffee shop. Plenty of seating. Plenty of space. Friendly baristas.
Got a nice cup of cold brew and some banana bread. They have a little selection of muffins and breads. Nice place to stop and chill.

One of the best - if not the best coffee shop in Chattanooga. If you’re looking for a great coffee, unique environment, that is close to downtown, Velo is the move!
The creativity behind their continued expansion of unique seasonal drinks is unmatched in the area. Velo and their team understand coffee culture and create drinks that reflect their care for each drink and customer! 🧡

Charming Spot for Great Coffee—Just Not My Remote Work Vibe
Velo Coffee Roasters is an adorable little coffee shop with a warm, welcoming vibe. The staff are friendly and personable, and the coffee and muffin I had were both delicious—definitely worth coming back for! I already have my eye on the chocolate chip cookie for my next visit.
As a remote worker, though, it's not my ideal spot to set up for the day. The parking can be tricky, and there aren’t many wall outlets, which makes working from there a bit of a challenge. That said, it’s a great place to catch up with a friend or just enjoy a quality cup of coffee in a cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back—just probably without my laptop.
10/10 hipster vibes. If you're wanting a chill remote work moment with hella attractive 30 something year olds or quick coffee before a session at Synergy- this is the spot. However, as a Chatt coffee connoisseur, the likes of Sleepy Head or Neidloves has this place LICKED on a coffee-snob quality scale. I just want to beable to taste the expresso in a latte... is that a crime? If you also love a good friendly banter with the barista, I fear the Sunday noon staff also isn't it. It's best you don't look them in the eye, take your coffee, and get the hell out of the way. I lowkey miss their small cafe vibes but the new rebuild does atmospherically make this place an excellent remote work habitat.
Great coffee, nice people, loved the place.

The coffee is just okay. The staff was rude and was not accommodating to a simple drink change of water instead of milk in a latte as it was not on the menu.
Really cool environment and it definitely seems to be a popular spot. However, staff told me they were unable to serve me an iced latte but offered me a milky cold brew instead. I’m sorry? Cold brew is not a latte. I opted for the hot latte, which was served with lukewarm, poorly steamed milk and over extracted papery espresso. As someone who has been a barista and very involved in the Atlanta coffee scene for 8+ years, the pretentiousness and complete disregard for customer service and beverage quality was profoundly disappointing.
Best coffee in town. Not even really a contest.
As for the people in dumb hats complaining.. well don’t wear a wig and a red nose if you don’t wanna get treated like a clown.
It is abundantly clear that the owners and employees of Velo have a deep passion for their work. Every single person here cares so much about fantastic coffee and creating a welcoming environment that feels like the family you wish you had. I have been buying coffee and hanging out here since 2017 and in those 8 years, the level of attention to detail and genuine love for good coffee/vibes has never diminished. On top of a solid cup of coffee (brewed in-house, btw), they also support local businesses that make pastries and sandwiches that pair perfectly with every drink on the menu. When Velo says they are giving back to their community, they really mean it. They host community bike rides, markets, and so many other events that bring life and vibrancy to the city. If you've visited Chattanooga but you haven't been to Velo, you haven't really been to Chattanooga. If you're weird and hate coffee in all of its forms for some reason, there is still something for you: MERCH. Velo has quite possibly the coolest t-shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, mugs, etc, that any business has ever had. Velo's manager creates almost all of the designs and brings in other local artists to keep the merch fresh and cool. I could go on about Velo for days, but just go see for yourself. They opened a new space a few months ago and when you see it, you will not want to set foot into any other coffee shop. I mean it. I love you, Velo! Excited to see you again the next time I'm in Chattanooga.
Best coffee in Chattanooga! I’ve loved seeing Velo change over the years and absolutely love their new inviting space.
