Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

We were very disappointed with our experience at Cheddars recently. Considering the amount of money we spent, this will be our last time dining here.

My daughter did not receive ANY pasta with her Pasta Caesar Salad. Once she discovered the discrepancy, I waited for our server “Kyle” to return so I could inform him. After waiting a considerable amount of time, I walked to another server and told her about the problem. She then informed me that she would send Kyle over.

Once Kyle finally returned, we informed him about the problem. We suggested that he should charge us for the regular Caesar salad without pasta since that is what we received. He then offered to bring out some plain pasta in a bowl. We declined since it took so long for Kyle to even return to the table and preferred that he adjust the bill accordingly. That’s when we noticed Kyle’s attitude and tone change. He walked off and shortly afterwards returned with the bill stating that “he removed three dollars off the balance.” I then paid immediately and Kyle returned with the receipt and just walked off.

There was no apology, thanks for dining with us, nothing! At that time, I decided to leave Kyle a note informing him that I did not appreciate his attitude and rudeness. Despite his actions, I let him know that I would kindly bless him with an undeserved tip of $27.65 which is 22% gratuity totaling $153.51.

Great staff, awesome food, zero wait time, affordable.

Told 20 min wait...was an hour. Finally seated, minus 2 family members that had to leave, sat another 20 minutes waiting for our salads... never saw waitress. We left

It was my 1st time visiting we placed a to go order, it was really crowded, the servers seem to get everyone in & taken care of in a pretty good timing. The food was good nice & warm on a breezey day.

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen needs serious improvement in cleanliness, service, and overall dining experience. The fact that they clean the seats with the same broom they use to sweep the floors is disgusting. This is a place that serves food and should be using the same rags that wipe the tables to wipe the seats, not a broom that touches the floors. It is unsanitary and unacceptable for any restaurant.

The service was slow and the man who served us showed no common decency. He reached over people’s food without saying excuse me or watch his reach instead of simply walking around the table the way a good server should. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional.

The atmosphere felt dull and bland just like the music selection. Even something as simple as a salad took over 30 minutes to come out, which made no sense at all when the appetizers came out in about 10 minutes. The timing and order of everything were confusing and frustrating.

None of this made sense to me and I would not suggest anyone come here unless they work for the health department...

Good was pretty good with generous portions. We went while traveling and were satisfied with our meals.

Floor was dirty when we arrived. We had food from our order which we didn’t finish and were waiting for our waitress to come back to check on us after pressing the “call waiter button”, she never did. 3 staff including what I think is an assistant manager and a GM walked past us did not seem too bothered or concerned to see if we needed anything. After waiting for 15 mins I got up and found a stack of boxes so we could go on our way. Never once did our waitress ask if we needed a refill of our drinks or to check in.

This is my second visit to a Cheddar's but in different states. I will say that my 1st visit in Indiana the food was better, I say that because the croissant wasn't even warm and the honey butter wasn't even melted. The fried fish was good but if cooked longer it would've been better. My wife got the ribs and tenders and that was good. They failed to make the baked potato she ordered so she had to settle for a different side. The service was pretty good, the server was pleasant.

food might be good I haven’t tried it. I tried the deep fried apple pie dessert and it was very bland not worth it

I had a really disappointing experience at the restaurant. While the waitress was nice, there were a lot of issues. I waited a long time for my food, only to realize they gave my order to someone else. When my meal finally arrived, it was burnt, and they forgot the side I ordered. They said they'd remake it, but after waiting another 30 minutes, I found out they'd forgotten about it altogether. The atmosphere was also not very clean and through this experience I would not like to come here again.
