Great experience. The cook (Roberto) was so cool and friendly. The food was delicious and so tasty. My steak was just right, the shrimp was so good. I enjoyed everything I had. Definitely a 5. Thank you!!! Great time!
I was forced to sit at a bar instead of a habchi table. I left after being told I had to have a party of two or more to sit there. I just moved here with my husband (military) and saw this place rated highly for hibachi. Since it was right outside of base, I figured it would be PERFECT for a solo dinner. My favorite habichi place in at Fort Bragg would always fit me into a table as a party of 1. This is a huge disappointment.
Came in for dinner, had a great time. Service was awesome. Everyone was friendly. Food was great. Hibachi is always super fun
Wanted to check my food before I left and had an employee stand over me and say “wow some people have trust issues”.. all while I’m pulling out a completely wrong order.. I asked the lady at the desk where I paid if I could have it corrected, where I was then over talked by the previous employer saying “why all they will do is dump part of it out and give it right back” while the lady at the desk followed up with after “I’ve handed you the food it cannot be fixed”.. the food was literally checked in front of the employees and was deemed wrong but they refused to fix it. Will no longer be eating here.
This was my first time going to a place like this and after a long day I decided to come with a friend to eat with our kids and did not come out with a good experience. My one star is for the chef who amazingly cooked my food. The waiter was so kind until I decided to step up and tell the guy that I didn’t order shrimp once he put it on my plate. When the waiter came towards the table she openly said “My paper say’s Steak and Shrimp but okay.” I don’t know if she was having a long stressful day but that “but okay” was so unnecessary and on top of that me speaking about it made the people in the table uncomfortable and told. In this case i didn’t have an issue with the place itself but with the waiter in her snarky comments. My first experience at a place like this was not good. Waitress needs to keep snarky comments to herself as I wouldnt willingly order shrimp when I do not eat seafood.
Good service, great food and sushi.
If you are choosing the hibachi option beware the 18% gratuity charge which they automatically add to your bill... But if you just order the regular dinner plates there is no up charge.
April 2025 - I asked my lunch date, Charlie, what was her favorite place to eat in Clarksville with the best food & heartfelt memories. She selected Yamato as the place, and I was not disappointed & very pleased with the quality of the food and service there. Ironically, it is a place I wanted to go to since 2019 when I first moved to the Fort Campbell and Clarksville area. Yet, I never did in the five years I lived there. The restaurant is located by Fort Campbell and opens at 11 AM. The ambience is comfortable, quiet, & casual setting with tables and booth areas - dim lighting. Our server was Sunny. She was very pleasant and professional. She recommended the Apple sake. It was my first time trying it and the best sake I ever had. For lunch, I asked Charlie to order for me her favorite foods. She ordered sushi and a bento box with Korean & Japanese food. Everything tasted excellent and was a joy to eat. Yamato is truly a hidden gem in Clarksville’s restaurants. I wish I had tried it earlier when I lived in the area. It was the best lunch I ever had in a restaurant in Clarksville.
I had to share a table with strangers, but they were cool. I really like all the flames and stuff that go up in the restaurant. They gave me a ton of chicken. They however DO NOT allow sharing. Don't show up trying to share a meal with your wife like I did, I had to get my own. Overall, I like it. I'd return.
Was told to sit at the bar in a completely empty restaurant because I was by myself. Haven't had that issue here before, change was who I assume was the manager was serving. Elderly couple walks in after and is told to sit wherever they like. No one else but us in the restaurant. Even though I’m by myself I’m still a customer.
Amazing place to go with a group.

They tack on an automatic 18 percent gratuity
We were able to have a nice meeting and meal. Our waitress was very good.
100 bucks to go, I thought the portions should be better and rice is extra
Try the Screaming Eagle Sushi
Would have given 5 stars food is always great, but they seemingly changed the way they present the chicken. Before they would bring the chicken breast out and cut it as it's on the grill, yesterday it was pre cut into chunks (raw) and when we asked the chef to cut it smaller as it was cooking (we have small children and someone very elderly) he said he couldn't cut it smaller. Disappointing to say the least.
