Big Tom’s Backyard Grill & Bar

Our family eats at Big Tom's at least once a week. (Usually more.) We typically go at lunch or on Monday/Tuesday nights bc there isn’t live music those nights. A few weeks ago mom ordered potato soup at lunch and I had a bite and have wanted my own since. I’ve called a few times a week to ask the soup of the day since then. Today I told Nikki “I’m going to need the recipe from nana.” She did me one better and called nana right then. This is why we love to support local. We’ve been petitioning Aubrey’s for bread like they have in Knoxville for years to no avail. Mention once that you’re pregnant and want soup from Big Tom’s and nana’s making it tomorrow!

My husband and I stopped Friday to enjoy the catfish basket around 11:30. I don't know what we ate but it wasn't fish. What a disappointment. Victoria and Bob Kuhn.

French dip did not have enough meat. My girls' chicken salad sandwich was really good . I need to try more food. I def would go back. Service was good. Giving them another chance. Went back again, and the chicken salad was good as always, and the rueben had a good flavor still a little light on meat for me just my opinion..they give plenty of fries, and it wasn't expensive. I'm still trying. Went back a third time to watch football on the back patio. I got great service and hospitaly made it a good time. They also had a good price happy hour and enjoyed the fresh air outside.

Chicken sandwich was garbage 3oz piece of meat the size of a slider on a bun for a 1/2 pound burger, had to send bloody mary back was watered down. Seem like reastaurant impossible needs a follow up visit. Plus the servers were wearing sandals which is against health code. Will not be returning.

The servers were extremely friendly and helpful. Big Tom's food is also very delicious and plentiful. The live music sets the atmosphere and makes you feel at home. I love it!

We thought we would run up to Big Tom for some Dinner , my wife order the chop steak no onion or mushrooms and there home made chips and gueso I order the Philly with steak no onions chips and queso.
The meals came out my wife's chopped steak cake out with the onions and mushrooms and my Philly was dryer than a bone and cold. Either the wait staff does don't care or the cooks can't read or don't care.
As soon as our waitress dropped off our food she was try to get out there and I had my empty glass setting there if I didn't say hey I need more tea we would not have seen her again.

I love eating here, I will usually get something on a Friday night after work and it has never disappointed. The staff are great and the food is excellent. Prices are more than reasonable.
