Champy's World Famous Fried Chicken

Easter morning breakfast. Not busy at all, but our food took over 30 minutes. My $10 egg and cheese biscuit was cold with a hard overcooked biscuit and a slice of unmelted cheese. I would have sent it back, but we were in a hurry at that point. I won't be back.

I had a spicy chicken sandwich and it was terrible. The chicken was so chewy and rubbery. It took over 30 minutes for 3 basic meals, nothing extra or special, on a Tuesday at 530pm. The waitress never came back after food was served. Completely disappointed and left hungry on both occasions of eating here.

Stop being stingy on your Sausage & Cheese plates ! This is a plate from Madison Alabama’s Champys …..get on board and stop selling thin burnt sausages !!!

We had the BEST waitress MICAYLA she was Awesome. You need to give her a raise. She was very attentive and there when we needed anything. The food & drinks were yummy. Thanks Micayla for suggesting the best drink. Loved it! If you come ask for Micayla she is the BEST server. Thanks for a great evening.

Great place for fried chicken! We also tried the "Smoked Sausage, Cheese & Pickle Plate" it was delicious.

The food was very hot when it arrived approx 45 min after we placed our order. We were not offered a top off of our drinks. Two of the three adults were out of tea until our check arrived. We asked if the chicken sandwich could be tossed in sweet heat sauce. Our waitress was unsure and did not go ask so they said I want the sandwich and if not then gave an alternate option. Ordered an extra chicken strip and had to ask for it, the waitress never came to say if the chicken could be tossed for the sandwich. It arrived and was not tossed and the waitress had to be tracked down again. Extremely friendly but customer service skills lacked. When turning our payment in we finally git some refills for our drinks. We were not there during a busy time. There was approx 4 tables with 3 to 5 people at each. We saw four different servers. Food excellent but no one likes an empty cup or to have to guess what you will get because she never came back and said yes we can toss that sandwich. Only to get a regular sandwich.

Kid-friendliness: No kid menu nothing for kids to be occupied by while waiting for the food. Nothing to attract kids but the gumball machine and toddlers can't have those big gumballs

We bring visiting family there whenever they come to town. The food is wonderful. For family environment, certainly wish the dress code was more modest.

4 servers walked past my party. We were laughed at upon walking in because my mother had a disability. I’ve been here before and had an amazing experience, but this time not so much. Maybe just maybe if the blonde girls didn’t laugh and point, we would’ve stayed. Absolutely terrible. Let’s also take into account the fact that people would like to converse and hear themselves think over the loud music and other patrons screaming.

Terrible service and food. Our team came in, and given, there were a lot of us. But the coach called ahead and we arrived around 8pm. We sat down and ordered. They only assigned one poor waitress to about 20 of us. We were informed that the kitchen closed early? Two hours before your official closing time? That’s ridiculous. Our coaches had to beg and talk to the staff just to get food out. Then they made us feel like it was OUR fault for coming to their restaurant “when the kitchen was closed”…two hours before the actual closing time. They made the food, and then let it die in the window because they wouldn’t serve individually and only as a group, so the food was gross and cold. We might as well gone to Zaxby’s which has better service and better chicken by the time we got food. Way to ruin a big victory night for us. 1/10 do not recommend.

This place is so cool! Only restaurant that I won’t be looked at with hawking eyes if I order a 40oz and slam it down with tamales and other southern delights. Came for a work trip, left with a koozy

Went in just now, was seated and after 15 minutes not even a drink order was taken. Spoke with the hostess she was supposed to go get our server another 8 minutes nothing! We got up to leave and my husband asked the hostess what the deal was she said nothing and just looked at us like we did something wrong! Real professional there ladies!
