Love the summer menu

I came to Cracker Barrel today during evening time to celebrate my birthday, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what I’ve come to expect. Our server, was Kylei, but we waited nearly an hour for our food. When it finally arrived, my daughter’s fries weren’t ready and didn’t come out for another 10 minutes.

My vegetable plate was cold, and when I brought it to Kylei’s attention, she said she’d let the kitchen know. She returned and told me it would take an hour to remake it. That didn’t make sense, so I spoke with the manager on duty who told me that was incorrect information, but then didn’t offer any solution. No remake, no apology, just “okay.”

This isn’t the kind of service I’m used to at Cracker Barrel. Sadly, after today, I won’t be coming back

Had a long day at a competition and we were all beat and hungry. Server Brooke B was good. Even when she messed up on our food she corrected and brought it out. My problem was checking out. You had 8 plus guests waiting to check out. And I saw 5 employees walking around stocking or just looking at everyone. I seemed a manager was watching but who knows. One guest waited for her order for 40 minutes because you forgot her ticket???? Then the poor man who was so sweet and was waiting to pay and they couldn't find his bill? He had two ladies with him one on a walker that who stood for 15-20 minutes because you were having the server re-ring his order....and the older lady on the walker was still waiting...shame on you. You had to go people that you let go ahead of people who were standing in line before they got their to-go order. One guy trying to fix a machine that was I'm guessing the to-go runner and finally the girl who was stocking finally jumped on a register? What are you doing? How do I know all of this I was standing in line? Wonder why no one wants to come here. Your food might be ok. Your servers should be working somewhere else because you do not care about your customers!
I go to a lot of places. I write a lot of good reviews and care about people. I want the corporate to know this needs fixing.
By the way. The guest was on a walker. It was her birthday 🎂 and she lives in a home and her brother wanted to bring her out for her birthday.
I am sure I will not be the last customer to complain tonight. Btw the dining room wasn't even busy? Really

The waitress was really nice the store seem clean.
Just the food was subpar. I normally like everything I get from the Cleveland Tennessee Cracker Barrel.
This time I had the New shrimp skillets meal and it was a bit off on the taste and shortly after eating I was having stomach problems. I do not recommend.

I had to come on and leave a review because our server, Abigail, was so phenomenal! She was joyful and attentive, and she even laughed with our family about jokes we were making as we ordered. She was super helpful and knowledgeable with the menu, and her bright countenance elevated our experience.

All of the servers and workers were so kind, but I specifically wanted to highlight Abigail because of her outstanding service and attitude.

I am having to update my 5 star review after my recent visit. I went to restroom to wash my hands.
The restroom smelled like a porta poty. The dining room wasn't much better.
That much of a decline in cleanliness can only come down to management.
I hope it improves but I won't be back for awhile.
