Es emocionante encontrar un pedacito de nuestra tierra donde menos lo esperas demás está decir que la comida y el servicio es excelente recomendado 💯 ahí está el calorcito boricua que nos destaca como puertorriqueños
10/10 recommend! Fast service, delicious food, basically a taste of home! Made a 2 hour trip to get some pasteles today and it was totally worth it. Will definitely be returning for more!
So I was in the neighborhood and saw this well reviewed Boricua restaurant. From the reviews I decided to give it a try. Came in and was met with a pleasant girl that took my to go order. A breakdown of what I had,
Beef empanada: a little too wet for me, the size/price was ok but flavor was a bit lacking.
Had the arroz con gandules: small portion. No flavor. Had to add salt.
Red beans: a bit oily. No flavor. I tried to fix it with some seasonings I had. No go.
Steak with onions: If you're gonna put steak on the menu, serve STEAK. What I got was a very oily, flavorless beef chunk pieces that had the consistency of tuna fish out of a can! I tried to fix it with some salt pepper and lime. It was still pretty bad. Portion was ok and overall price for everything was ok but the main attraction, the STEAK was a no show. Growing up in NYC I've had plenty of Puerto Rican food, home made and in many restaurants. Not trying to be mean but if you're gonna charge people money you gotta provide a decent product. Please do better!

Real Authentic Latin food, the croquettes, toast and Cafe con leche reminds me of home town. and the Carne Frita (fried pork chunks, or masitas de Puerto with rice beans and tostones) are sooooo yummy. 10 out of 5 stars in my book
Delicious, you must go try their delicious food.

I love the arroz con gondules, great consistency and flavor!
Unfortunately, I felt the chicken could have been more flavorful and juicier.

Honestly can't recommend Rico's. My steak sandwich was great but the fried plantains were extremely stale. My girlfriends skirt steak was bland and so tough the table shook trying to cut it. Her rice and beans were also bland. I'd have loved to love Rick's but there food just isn't worth it. The service left a lot to be desired as well I think grand total we night have said 15 words to the staff. Never checked on during our meal, food was brought out at different times, never asked how our meal was. Honestly not worth it.

My family is Puerto Rican, and I was hopeful about this place but man, I was very disappointed. We ordered Croquettes and they came out frozen the first time. When we got replacements they were decent. Our food came out and the pork was so over cooked and tough I couldn’t eat one full piece. My partner ordered the Tripiletta….. it was mushy. His yucca fries had some root or inedible bits in it.
The young lady who was taking care of us seemed to be trying her best, and I’m sure it was just an off day for the kitchen, it’s 7pm on a Saturday. But in my opinion, it was unacceptable.

Do you wanna a taste of Puerto Rico but can't get off work? Well, come on down and visit this place. From the moment you step through the front doors, you feel like you're immediately transported to my beautiful island; la "Isla del Encanto" mi patria, mi alma, mi corazon! ❤️ ??. The decor is beautiful. It truly reminisces of being at the island. You walk in and immediately feel at home. I decided to get the beef stew plate for $13. With this dish, you get either rice and beans or arroz con gandules with your stew beef. You also get a side of your choice; fried yuca (cassava), maduros, tostones (friend plantains, or sweet plaintains). Set food was delicious!!!! As a Puertorican, for me I am used to more deeep intense flavors so I thought it to be a bit on the bland side but i understand that they are servicing primarily southerners that prefer less garlic or strong seasonings. STILL THE FOOD IS TOP NOTCH! I am just a hard critic when it comes to latin food. Their service was very friendly and laid back just as in Puerto Rico, so feel at home! The music was lit! I love the salsa hits playing in the backgrown.I also ordered 3 pastries. The quesito was flaky and not too sweet. However, the guava and cheese turnover was so good!!! The guava pastry or "el pasteloto" was on POINT! In my opinion, the pastries could have used more filling, tho. Only no, i'm so glad I was able to stop by and have a different where we can meal.I feel energized and so full!! You all have to come try it!!

Delicious Puerto Rican food. We had the carne guisada, mofongo, carne frita, arroz con gandules and arroz blanco con habichuelas. Everything was tasty! They also have desserts pastries, a few pantry items and condiments for sale. The upside down cake and budding was really good. Laid back atmosphere, good prices and service. Food came out pretty quickly and really hot. Definitely recommend if in the area.

We had a Cuban sandwich and yucca fries and toastones and a pineapple guava drink. All items were excellent and I can't wait to go back and try everything! The owner was warm and inviting, she helped us make our selections. Couldn't have had a better experience start to finish. Rico deli is a tiny gem in our city.

We only ordered coffee, pastries, & plantains but it cost as much as two entrees. I think we were double charged on the pastries. What we had tasted good but the menu & prices need to be updated. Nobody feels good being charged more than expected. I'll probably give them another try.
