Brunch was fabulous and we will definitely be back!!!
Had the misfortune to be talked to by Brandon at the bar while trying to order breakfast. It was my first time ever hearing about this restaurant from a coworker and we were excited to order brunch for the office. Brandon in the bar working at 10am made that phone call so unpleasant and uncomfortable, his attitude and demeanor turned me completely off. All I did was ask common first time questions and was treated awfully. My friend who referred me to this restaurant heard the whole thing and told me to just order from our regular restaurant. I gave it two stars because I didn’t try the food this is all based on a phone call experience. EDIT ** this is in reply to the restaurant. I was not at all upset about the French press not being there I actually said that was fine and said regular coffee was fine because it’s basically the same thing, he then got an attitude and said “what do you want then?” I then asked if they had something else I read off the Facebook menu and he said “we don’t serve that” I said that’s fine I’ll look at the menu more and call back he then said “ or what?? Do you want me to read off the entire menu??” Which I just repeated myself and said no I said I’d look and call back and he said “good” and that’s when I asked for his name. I’m replying because this wasn’t about the French press at all and I feel he deserves to be talked to about customer service since that’s what he’s working in.

Beth and the crew are amazing!!! Best food and service in Cleveland hands down. Been a customer for years and love the sassiness and personality from everyone. Anyone with a problem with this establishment should find the nearest Golden Corral!!!!!!! Trump 24.

This is a great gastropub in Cleveland, they have a big selection of wines, etc, and I loved the food we ordered. However, I thought it was overpriced. We had a great time during trivia night there though!

I want to tell everyone about our experience at The Press.
We went to try a new local brunch spot. The menu looked great and our waitress was extremely nice. Everything was going great until I asked if they had any vegan/non-dairy options for our 2 year old daughter that has an extremely rare genetic disorder and dairy could kill her. Not that we needed to order anything for her because we carry around a huge lunch box every time we go eat. We always ask just to see options for future visits to the restaurant. The waitress was super nice and went to ask the owner what options they had. She came back with a few things we could order but due to the large amount of food we already brought for Adeline I just decided to order the fruit cup. I always try to order Adeline something, even if it’s small, to include her and show her she can go and do anything like everyone else. It also makes my mama heart happy too.
We were placing our order for everyone else when the OWNER came out and put a fruit plate on the table and proceeds to say “this is the most vegan option we’ve got” then she puts her hands up disgusted and said “we don’t do all of that stuff around here”. The tone and body language is what showed me that my daughter was not accepted here. It made us feel like asking about vegan options was gross. Tears immediately started to spill out and we gathered our things and left. How could someone show no compassion towards a small child?? Making someone feel like they are less than due to something as small as a diet is ridiculous!
This is our first rude experience in two years we have encountered about Adeline’s diet! We have NEVER expected anyone or any place to accommodate Adeline’s diet restriction. We always bring her enough food to feed multiple kids. Over the past two years I have spent many many hours/days filled with so much anxiety surrounding food. The fear about birthday parties, eating out, family get togethers, almost everything we do is around food. We have overcame all of this fear and anxiety due to so many nice and including people. We do everything now with ease due to our routine that works for us. All of this to say, my mama heart has nick in it. All anyone wants is to be included and someone to be nice to them, especially when it comes to our kids. Will this be the last time this happens, no. The first time just hits the hardest. I hardly ever post anything personal but this one has ate at me.
Needless to say we went to our favorite local coffee shop and our family brunch outing was recovered. ❤️

Amazing food and drinks! Best biscuit & gravy casserole ever! Cheese grits are also amazing. Had the different nightly specials many times and they never disappoint! Lots of friendly faces to talk to and get to know!
The owner, Beth, and her staff are so friendly and accommodating! I have been here several times, both with just a person or two and for a couple of parties. The long party table and food setups are beautiful and so good! I love the wine slushes, charcuterie boards and small bites. Cool atmosphere, great local people and good food and drink - highly recommend.
first off i wasnt going to post anything because i had expressed my conserns to the owner. but when we left we forgot my grandsons sippy cup so when my wife went to get it she was stopped I am assuming by the owners wife/cook and was told my first mistake was i ordered a casserole. I ordered the biscuit and Gravy casserole. first let me say I fix this for my family when they come for breakfast so I wanted to see others how it's made. the menu states it comes with eggs, ok so it comes and there is no eggs to be seen and it looks like it's not cooked all the way. so no big deal we pay and I talked to the owner and stated my concern. when the wife of the owner tells my wife it is all mixed together even if that's true where we're the eggs? you should still see them and the gravy was placed on top. I am sorry if you don't like someone critique your food don't own a restaurant, plus if you google Biscuit and Gravy casserole none of the recipes look like what was served and they all show egg in them
Tonight finally seemed like the perfect night to wander down to this adorable wine bar and check it out. I can’t even begin to tell you how phenomenal my experience was.
Upon entering, the patrons, the bartender and owner were incredibly friendly. Everyone in there seemed like regulars. They discussed the drinks with me, the food, and the events they have ongoing. I felt beyond welcome and appreciated.
I ordered the Mash and Hops, which seems to be adorably named after the beer establishment connected to The Press (this was also phenomenal and I will be leaving a separate review). To be clear for other patrons, you can’t bring your wine over to the beer side but you can bring your beer from the beer establishment to the wine side despite that they share the same patio. Just a good thing to know.
By the time I went over to order a beer, I came out and this delicious platter of salami, cheese, mustard, and warm pretzels with melted cheese was placed in front of me. It was so delicious and filling I couldn’t even finish it. It was also gorgeously plated.
I chose to sit outside on the patio. The inside was warm, cozy and super inviting. It will be wonderful in the winter. While sitting and enjoying the food and drink, members of the community came over and sat with me, introducing themselves. I can’t tell you how special that was for me. I was truly floored by the generosity of the people who own this place and patron this place regularly. I moved from Chattanooga to Cleveland last year and I really feel a sense of connection and belonging. This establishment made me feel a connection I have not felt in the longest time.
I can’t even wait to try brunch here. This will surely be my local go-to spot for food, connection, and delicious drinks.
Thank you for having me. I will be back!
