La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant - Columbia

I love to give glowing reviews of our local restaurants, but I just cant this time. We have eaten here a few times, and this last time...was the last time.

Service is great and fast but the food was sub-par.
I had a garlic, grilled shrimp meal, my wife had chicken casidillas. Ill usually order shrimp at Mexican restaurants because they're fresh and good flavor. The garlic was WAY too overpowering and the shrimp were definitely, not fresh, as noted by smell and taste. The casidillas were just ok. Nothing great, frozen food isle quality, at best.

However, our two sons said their tacos and burritos were fine, and the chips warm and crispy while the salsa had good flavor.

Finally, our bill for food, soft drinks and tip came to $100. Sorry La Hacienda, you are off our list.

Stopped in for lunch and the food was excellent. Our group each had something different and we all loved it. The chips were warm, the salsa was spicy(ish), and the rice was some of the best I've had recently. Next time we are out that way we are going to try to go again.

Ordered two meals & cheese dip & it was $60 .. pretty steep considering the quality. It wasn’t the worst but it definitely wasn’t worth the price point.

It was over $50 dollars for two people, watery thinned salsa, cheese dip and beans. I got 2/3 the amount of food ingot last time for the same meal.

I do not recommend and will not be back.

Nice atmosphere. Food was excellent. Large portions. Genuine Mexican cuisine. Wait staff was attentive, polite, and friendly. Overall very good experience at a fair price.

Ordered a pitcher of margaritas and seemed like it was all lime - no tequila at all.

Lahacienda, located at Shadybrook is the best Mexican restaurant in Tennessee believe me I know I’ve traveled all over and been to everyone. The food is excellent.

This is the best place for Mexican food!!! And they will make it anyway you want. Gabriel was our waiter and he is so nice.
