Love the food but the service is lacking. I went there because of the cheesecake...this is the 4th time I have tried to get CHEESECAKE. This time the girl said, after I asked if they still sold it- "yea, but there is none up here right now" which means there is probably some in the freezer in the back but she didn't bother to check. I give up.
Consistently delicious food with friendly staff! I usually get the spicy southwest chicken sandwich but like to try new things and it’s always good. Try the sugar cookies!

We had a great lunch a McAlister's. Love their salads & the Ruben was so big my husband couldn't finish it. The employees were super nice & accommodating.

The service is good, the workers are very nice. The place is always pleasant to go to. But I went to spring hill's McAlister's and it was amazing. They fill the sandwich to cover the whole bread and they load up on the salads. This one in Columbia can be pretty stingy on the fillings where parts of the bread does not even have filling. I really don't appreciate that and would even be okay if they would spread the meats to the end of the bread. The salads are small compared to Spring Hill. Please manager, to bring your restaurant up to par, you need to make better sandwiches and be a little more generous.
I don't know if it was nostalgia or if the food uses to be much better but I honestly can't recommend this restaurant. I got the French dip and the meat was cold and very fatty and chewy. I've tried McAllisters a few times lately in a few different locations and the experience has been similar in each case. I don't believe the staff is to blame, it's more of a meat quality issue in my opinion.

The employees are always rude and seem like they are actually angry that you showed up.Apparently if you show up at 8:40 (twenty minutes before they close) they will tell you to get your order to go and sit outside in fifty degree weather. And this was the manager. Correct me if I'm wrong but open until 9, means that you do not close until 9. Also the manager was in the kitchen so we stood at the counter as they kept glancing at us with out even saying hey.Overall the food is good but the employees make the experiance unbearable.

Very slow. It took 20+ minutes to get 2 sandwiches, and they were not busy. Looked like plenty of staff. Not much chicken salad in the sandwich. But broccoli cheddar soup very good.Parking: Could be tight at lunch

Got my order, missing potato salad, went to leave they ran out, gave me the wrong sandwich and I asked for extra avocado but there was only 2 pieces on the sandwich. No I'm sorry, in fact the guy had an attitude with me and he was the one who totally jacked up my order
