I stopped in Columbia to show a visiting friend around and happened upon this fabulous little bakery. We bought a peanut butter pie for dessert for that evening and OMGEEEEE! It was incredible. Silky and light with a chocolate base and just enough whipped cream. I wish they were closer to Florence (but my waist is kinda glad they are not). Definitely recommend and their prices are very reasonable for such great quality.

I placed an order for Christmas and the customer service was great. Went for pickup, again great customer service. And, the pecan pies were the best any of us have ever had. 10/10 recommend and we'll definitely be back.

Very misleading and dishonest in my opinion! I went on the website to see what pies they had and prices. Prices on website looked reasonable so I ordered 2 pies. Much to my surprise when I went to pick them up she said my total was 86.70 when according to their website each pie should have been 20.50! It was double! I see now in the reviews that I am not the only one complaining about this. They KNOW FULL WELL that the prices on thier website are wrong. Yet after other complaints they continue to mislead people. This is not a good way to run a business or treat customers. Very disappointed.

The online reviews for Pie Sensations are polarizing, either exalting the praises of this award-winning pie shop with a five-star review or panning the place for being overrated. Realistically, I think it ranks somewhere in between, hence the four stars. At $8.78 per slice. including tax, the quality matches the price considering the cost of ingredients these days.
Pie Sensations has quite the reputation in Middle Tennessee. It's located on the southwest corner of the adorable, vibrant square in Columbia, sandwiched between A Balloon Shop and Daniel's Barber Shop. You won't see the sign until you walk right up to the store. Delicious smells of baking pies fill this charming, deceivingly roomy space with a counter in front of the tiny kitchen, a display case, and a few tables. Personally, I'm a pie crust hater as it's often brittle and flavorless. But the crust at Pie Sensations is really good, perfectly flaky and complementary to the pies. I actually at the entire crust which is rare!
There are two types of pecan pie in this world. Some prefer the rigid, thicker filling. Others like a gooey, almost liquid interior. While I prefer the thicker version, the very runny pecan pie at Pie Sensations was admittedly tasty, although not my preferred texture. It's properly sweet but not overly done with high quality and very fresh ingredients. The chess pie has that quintessential flavor of a southern classic, maybe not sweet enough for my taste but delicately balanced flavor for all palates.
Their top seller, the chocolate turtle pie, was a bit too chocolatey for my personal preference. But again, the quality is obvious with a thick chocolate filling topped with caramel and pecans. While I wouldn't drive the hour from Nashville to Columbia again just to eat a slice of pie at Pie Sensations - unlike other remarkable destinations to which I'll eagerly drive three or four hours - I would encourage anyone near Columbia to sample this delicious and expertly made product! If you're in the area, it's a nice stop for dessert.

They have the best coconut cream pie! Every time my husband goes there for me, they always offer to make another pie when they are out.

Nice atmosphere and a quaint little joint on the square but $8 for a small piece of Coconut Poké Cake is insane. Didnt know until after I received my receipt. Worker also didn't seem overly interested when we came in. Understand needing to have high prices but put them up somewhere so people know what to expect before purchasing.

Got two slices of pie but didn't see the prices anywhere and was very shocked when the total was over $18 for two slices of pie. Got chess and turtle pie, they were good but not great and definitely not worth $8 a slice.

I was very excited about the large selection of flavors and flavor combinations. I ordered Old-Fashioned Fudge and Key Lime Chess pies for a celebration at work. The fudge was fudgy and luxurious, the key lime tangy with a buttery, flaky crust. Definitely party-worthy!One note for potential customers - there's a photo floating around Google that shows prices from several years ago. Those prices are NOT ACCURATE anymore - whole pies are around the $30 mark now. Worth 5 stars though for the impressive selection, timely service, and reliable execution.
