Great place to stop by and fill up a tray from the buffet. You can make your own combo that's comparable to their entree prices and get exactly what you want. Always relatively fresh and they keep the place as clean as they can. Make sure to use the hand sanitizer before you grab your tray.

The lunch was so good cheap and filling and we were a couple cents short and the guy had no problem with that we'll definitely be back great Chinese food and best chow mein I've had

This little Chinese restaurant has the best lunch buffet in Cookville, matter of fact better than any ive had in Indianapolis as well. Very fresh, tasty common dishes. You wont be disappointed.

On 10/21/23 I had eaten their dinner buffet with my bill being $12.61, and I paid with $15.00 cash. When I reached over to grab my change ($2.39) the employee insisted it was her's. I fully intened to tip, however I did not intend to tip with my remaining change, which was 20% of my bill. In my personal opinion the employee acted in a very unprofessional and demanding manner, furthermore this interaction has tarnished the enjoyment i had for this establishment, to which I won't be returning to anytime soon.

They closed buffet at least 45 minutes earlier then their posted hours, I mean, if your sign said you open till 9:45, you should be open till 9:45.

Most of our food was so tasteless. No seasonings, no salt and no spice of any kind. What is with the huge pieces of baby corn in the fried rice? So many peas in every dish, like too many for my liking. The egg rolls had nothing but cabbage in them, no meat whatsoever. If I wanted just cabbage I would’ve ordered a spring roll. My husband said the chicken used in his dinner was gross. The only 2 things I liked were the crab rangoons and the hot and sour soup. How is the soup out of the $58 dinner we bought the tastiest thing? How sad and won’t be back.Only came here after so many great recommendations on a Facebook group. Obviously most of those people have zero tastebuds.Had major stomach issues last night after eating. Threw away all the leftover rice and soup that I had planned on eating today.

Came to Taste of China based on reviews. That was a mistake, one of the rare times Yelp let me down. Walked in, young lady at the counter asked if we were take out or dining in. We told her dine in and were directed into the next room with the buffet. Waitress with one of the worst attitudes I have ever encountered came to the table took our drink order. Left no menu. Returned, actually slammed the drinks on the table, turned and walked away without a word, still no menu. We waited about 5 minutes, mostly deciding if we wanted to eat there after all, and perhaps we misunderstood that dine in meant buffet only. Waitress checked on other tables, never returned to ours so we decided we'd just leave and never return. Half expected to be chased into the parking lot, yes her attitude was that bad. I wish any diners unfortunate enough to wander in better luck than we had.

General Tso's was pretty good. Fried rice was very good. Egg roll decent. Broccoli was raw, not soft/steamed. Chicken was decent. Price is good. I prefer China Wok over A Taste of China.

Ordered Moo Shu pork which is one of my favorite Chinese dishes. To sum it up after a couple of bites it went straight into the garbage. SO greasy and completely soggy. Gross.

What you would expect with American/Chinese. Good portions. My favorites are the friend dumplings and Mei Fun. Very nice people that have run it for many years.
