It was so packed with people, I couldn't shop or even go to bathroom.

This was an order for curbside pickup. My daughter picked it up. As many times as I have eaten at Cracker Barrel, I never thought I'd give less than 5 stars, but tonight, I'm being generous to give 3 stars. It was a scheduled order. The breading on the fish was mushy, like it had been in a steamer for a while. Nothing was hot. It was barely lukewarm. The shrimp was so overcooked that it was like chewing on leather, or maybe rubber. The biscuits were actually undercooked. (Was everybody working tonight new hires?) I saw the sweet potato before anything else, and the rest of the meal "looked" okay, so I just contacted the appropriateonline department, and just told them about the potato. The toppings for the potato were in a side cup. That was so cold it had to be pried out of the cup. I reheated everything except the shrimp, because it was hard enough to chew it already. When we eat in the dining room there, literally everything is perfect, from breakfast through the rest of the day. I guess some of the employees aren't very good with to go orders. That's the only thing that makes sense. The best items were the hush puppies (which were a surprise, because they weren't in the description of the meal) and the okra. I'm going to try "re-baking" the biscuits, and see if that helps. I'm not likely to order takeout again, but I'll give the inside dining option another go. If it's gone downhill since we were there last...?‍♀️Vegetarian options: There's a wide variety of vegetables from which to choose, and the vegetable plate is one of my favorites. I'm not too sure about biscuits and cornbread, so if you're vegan, you should ask. If the servers don't know, I'm sure they can find out.Kid-friendliness: This is based on the last time we ate inside the restaurant. Giving children crayons and a page to color is brilliant. Even though we don't usually have to wait long, kids get impatient quickly, and coloring keeps them occupied.

We ate breakfast at the Cracker Barrel in Cookeville, TN. The food, and Ruby, our waitress, were excellent. Ruby was so nice, attentive to customer needs, and professional. However, the new menus were confusing. There were no pancakes or French toast listed anywhere on the menu. There were only combinations with meat and eggs. Ruby said I would be able to order blueberry pancakes. But then, of course, I didn’t know the price of any of these items before ordering. In addition, with all the combinations and “build your own” options on the menu, and the newer “up charge” sides, it was not clear on the menu which sides were up charges. I would suggest figuring out your pricing of sides so they are all the same. In summary, the food and service is consistently very good at Cracker Barrel restaurants.

I don't treat myself to eating out often, but I was on a 4 1/2 hr trip and needed to eat some breakfast, be it Cracker Barrel has always been a go to eatery in the past, I decided to stop and have an order of Mama's French toast, bacon and eggs over easy with coffee and water to drink. I can say I left the table filled to the gill and my server way very attentive to keeping my coffee filled and checking to see If I had any other needs.

Was very busy and waitress was as attentive as she could be. We were seated in the corner with barley enough room to move around. Both myself and the lady behind me. I understand seating is set up to place more people, but accommodate everyone's body types. Other than that, food was good and hot as well as fresh.

This is the best Cracker Barrel we’ve encountered. We visited on a busy Sunday morning but everything was clicking really well. Hostess stand, server, and food were all great. Our server, Luke, was fantastic. All staff seemed to be hustling and friendly.
