Service was friendly but very slow. Food was excellent but overpriced. Menu is deceiving. They charge extra for the sides but menu lists the sides with the entree. I will never go back.

I don’t know if we caught the kitchen on an off day or what, but we picked this place because it came up as a great option on the Find Me Gluten Free app (I have Celiac). We arrived around 2:30pm after hiking & were told by the hosts they were only serving a Valentine’s Brunch as well as the regular pizza menu and would be transitioning to dinner service soon. Since barely 1/4 of the tables had guests, we figured it wouldn’t take too long to get our food. We ordered three pizzas (two regular, one cauliflower crust) and were told by our server it should take about 30 min, which was fine. Unfortunately, it took just over an hour to get our food which was completely unacceptable. I could understand if the restaurant was slammed that things could be slower, especially on a dining out holiday, but this was ridiculous. Our server switched over during our wait to move to the upstairs bar area and we asked our new one to check on our food and explained how long we’d been waiting. She was great and came back a few minutes later to say our pizzas were finally on the way out. Once we had them, we asked to have the manager comp them because it had taken so long. The manager who came out just a few minutes later was immediately hostile. If we weren’t starving and finally getting to eat our food, we would’ve immediately walked out. The waitress checked on us a few minutes later and apologized again for how long it took our food to arrive, that we were being comped as we’d requested and we mentioned how incredibly rude the manager had been. She apologized for him and how that was not the experience they’d wanted us to have. There are so many things you can do to attempt to make a long wait more palatable, and they did absolutely none of them. The pizza was fine, but definitely not worth the wait.

Food looked amazing. I wish we got to try ours. We were on a road trip and stopped by for a nice lunch. Fast forward and hour and change and we still hadn't recieved our food. I've worked in the service industry and I understand it can be hard to keep up with orders, but people who arrived after us got their food before we did. We ended up leaving without getting our food so we could make our reservation at our air bnb. Very disappointed. May return someday so I can actually rate the cuisine.

Went to Cookeville for my sons college graduation and simply did not expect to have such a positive dining experience that we had here at Fire and Vine.
Service was excellent and the food exceeded expectations. If I had a complaint, the Bruschetta bread really was not toasted and crispy, I did not care for their take on it.
If I am every back in town, I will go out of my way to come to this kozy diner with an amazing staff, excellent food, and great atmosphere.

It was alright, service was great but I also went in during a time I was only one of two customers present unless there were more people upstairs. Food was unfortunately underwhelming and a bit bland, had the scallops. I may try this place again for their pizza to see if I like it better though

I called and made a reservation where I specifically asked for a high chair at the table for my child. When we were seated at our table there was no high chair, so I asked our server if we could get one. She said they didn’t have any more even though we noticed one as we walked in the entry door to the dining room that wasn’t being used. Shortly after another table was seated behind my family. They also had children, but they were brought a high chair as they were being seated. The food was good but nothing special. First time visiting, may be the last.

Jackson was our server last night (12/20/2025)...we're just a group of friends that all worked together at Spirit Halloween and enjoyed each other's company enough to plan small get togethers after our Halloween season ended, hence our visit to Fire and Vine last night. Jackson was attentive, but not overly present, he knew how to read the room, so to speak and he rolled with our sense of humor. He fit in as if he were one of our group and we greatly enjoyed having him as our server...we're still talking and laughing about the photo he took of himself with the forward facing camera when we asked for a group photo. Jackson, if you read this, you did a helluva job, my dude. We really appreciate you. I hope the admin there will take note of this and recognize him in front of his peers, he really deserves it!
