This server was either new or overwhelmed. He took forever to get our bar drinks. Couldn't get his attention to refill my Pepsi. Never asked if we wanted another bar drink or if we need anything until the end. Had to ask for our check and togo boxes. Got the check, but didnt get togo boxes. Finally, I asked a different server for boxes and got them immediately.The food was amazing!! The fried green tomatoes were great & crab dip was wonderful. Ordered the hot chicken sandwich, the pimento burg, the southern and chicken tenders... all were very good.We will be back. Hopefully, the service is better next time

If I could give zero stars would. We have been going here weekly for a year or longer at least 1 sometimes 2 times a week and enjoyed the food and service. However, in the last 3 weeks, the food has not been good at all. It just doesn't taste right. I'm not sure if they changed the company they were getting their food from or if they changed the way its being prepared, but it's definitely changed, not in the good way. I do think they changed a few staff members and that's probably the problem. When I asked about it, they were very unprofessional with the response. I could feel the tension. I'm not sure what's going on, but we will NOT be going back. What started out as a great family owned with delicious food and nice business is starting to dwindle down, it seems. In my opinion anyway. I hope you can figure out the issues and make the changes needed to stay prosperous because we can't be the only ones who can taste the difference.

Best fried green tomatoes I’ve had, perfect flavor combo with the smoked Gouda grits and goat cheese crumbles. Blackened red fish sandwich and a special strawberry smashed Moscow mule topped it off. Husband had fish and chips with a Calf killer IPA. Turned out to be an outstanding late lunch! Awesome service too, we will definitely be back.

Lenten fish fry Friday continues. Three nice pieces of lightly battered fish. Fish was nicely flaky with a good flavor without much batter. Not greasy at all, very flavorful. It was nice to be able to switch out the sides if desired. Good selection of local beers on tap or bottles. Definitely give this place a try.

The service was excellent and the food fantastic. It was definitely the best burger we've had in state (and on par with what we've considered our favorite burger which is at a restaurant 4 hours away) and my husband is now obsessed with the duck fat tots! Additionally, I have dietary restrictions and they went above and beyond when I asked for the chef to avoid using extra salt when preparing the food and they readily checked the sodium content in the various bun options they offer so I could get the lowest one (even cheat meals need boundaries sometimes) but, then, my food arrived with all condiments in separate containers so I could control what I ingested (so thoughtful!!!). We absolutely have a new favorite place in Cookeville and can't wait to return!

One of my favorite places in town to eat. Hands down have the best tenders and their salads are always amazing. We eat there at least once a week. The owners are super nice and always working hard.
My wife and I are always looking for a new food place to experience. Found this gem in Crossville TN The wife got the chicken and waffles and I got the Irrationale Bene. The Chicken was flavorful and juicy. Commented that the waffles seemed a bit cold and one of them was dry. Seemed like they were mass produced and waiting in a warmer to be served. Otherwise it was really good. The Irrationale Bene were crazy good. With crab cakes and fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese. Also had the Gouda cheese grits as a side, they were the best thing I ate today! If your in the area you have to try this place.

Ordered my son the fish and chips for $17.56. We got home to find three small pieces after about a 40 minute wait. The quality and quantity of the fish is disappointing to say the least. What use to be an excellent dish is now filled with grease lacking flavor. The hostess I spoke with on the phone told us to come back in for a refund the next day and we could speak to the owner, not sure if who I spoke to was the owner or not but was told there vendors changed recently. The way we were spoke at by who I am assuming was the owner was disrespectful and dismissive. We will not be back. (We go multiple times a month)
