Kurtdaddy's Pork Pit

Me and my son’s local favorite stop every week, great atmosphere with friendly people and the best smoked bbq around with lots of side items to choose from. The staff is fast and courteous with amazing prices for the portions of food you get. Kurtdaddy’s pork pit is one of the best around.

I finally got around to trying KirkDaddy’s pork pit. KurtDaddy’s is about 11 miles north of Cookeville courthouse straight up Washington Ave (AKA Hwy136 or Standing Stone Hwy). Well worth the 15 minute drive.

My wife had the catfish. It was moist, tender with a nice light coating. She also got mustard potato salad. She says it taste just like grandma’s and that’s a good thing.

I’m 70 and it’s only the third time I’ve had pork shoulder. Hey I’ve only been in the south for six years. It had a very nice flavor to it, it was delicious. Also I got a generous portion of baked beans and onion rings. Both were very good.

I was also very impressed on how clean and well decorated the restaurant and bathrooms were. I was also treated very nice by staff and the involved owner.

With 240 restaurant in Cookeville I believe this is one to put on your short list.

The BEST BBQ around! I love their pulled pork potato and their shoulder is amazing too! Ive not been disappointed with anything Ive had from here!

Where to begin...it's a drive to a neat place in the middle of nowhere. But, wow, the food is fabulous. The shoulder was so tender and very good. The potato salad was delicious. The onion rings were oh so crunchy and tasty. Love the setting. Seating inside or outside with the mooing cows in the distance. Nicely done!!

I’m so glad we finally got to try Kurtdaddy’s! The pulled pork sandwich is fantastic. I’m a bit of a pulled pork snob, and this is some of the best I’ve had. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is inviting.

One of the absolute best bbq spots in the upper Cumberland area in my opinion. I love me some good bbq and Kurt Daddy’s delivers every single time on a great bbq experience. The food is amazing and the staff are friendly and so very kind. If you are in Putnam county and want bbq please go see them at Kurt Daddys!!

I love the food! It's all really good! The employees are super nice. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful! They really make you feel like you're family. The prices are good - just remember you get what you pay for. It's more than well worth it. This is my new favorite restaurant. Hands down.

first visit & it was for lunch. Got the Pulled pork Nachos, and it was a large portion. Looked like a cup of melted cheese, plenty of Nachos, could of been a little more meat, anyway could not eat it all. Beverages are bottled drinks out of a cooler. Also outside tables are available. Next time i will try the pulled pork sandwich.

Absolutely love Kurtdaddy's! We enjoy food from them usually once a week and it never fails to be amazing. Pulled Pork Sandwich, Pulled Pork Potatoes or fries and pork shoulder. Don't forget the delicious burgers from a local farm and the occasional treat of smoked bologna or brisket! So good. You will not be disappointed.
