We went on a Tuesday and were surprised that it was Trivia night. It was fun answering the questions while eating. They have the BEST guacamole! It was freshly made and brought with freshly fried flour tortilla chips! Give them a try! ?

Our son, his wife, and children moved to the area in December (from Philadelphia, Pa).We flew in for a visit & they INSISTED we have dinner at one of their favorite places, "Rey's".This place did not disappoint and EXCEEDED our expectations! From the staff who were happy to see us, to the DELICIOUS food, and WOW the dessert!You simply have to have the churro dessert! It was the best dessert I had in my entire life of 50yrs.I am from Philadelphia & have access to the best restaurants. This place beats all Mexican restaurants. 100%.We will be back!

Almost no one in the restaurant. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was sitting in grease. I ordered fajitas and the grease was sitting all the way up to the rim. My daughter got a ground beef taco and grease was pouring out of it and she only took a few bites. Husband got guide Mexicans and enjoyed it. Spent $50+ and only one ate more than 1/3 of our meal.
I have been to this resteraunt several time as my family loves it. I believe that even though the food is sometimes inconsistent, this is the best mexican restaurant in cookville. Staff has always been nice and timely food.

Rey’s Mexican grill, is one of my favorite places to visit when I’m hungry for example I absolutely love the shredded chicken cheese and rice . Honestly my favorite thing about Rey’s is the drinks and the authentic Mexican surroundings, one of my favorite servers to be waited on by is Emily she is outstanding and knows how to make a wonderful drink! Well, this is just a few of my favorite things about Rey’s ten out of ten highly recommended!
This would have to be one of my favorite restaurants in Cookeville. The staff is always so kind and welcoming. The food is great and they have premium steak which makes it even better. My server Emily is one of the best and she makes the best drinks as well! Her service was incredible! I would 10/10 recommend this restaurant!

Very good Americanized Mexican food. The restaurant is clean, the service was great, the food was well prepared and quite tasty. It's not fancy, it's not gourmet, it's a slightly above average typical USA Mexican restaurant. A good dining experience overall. And yes, we will be back.
