We have wanted to try this since we moved to Cookeville. Surprised at how pricey it was to be located next to a college campus .. Would love to have had a small salad to go with my pasta but that was extra ... The cheesey bread was like dry cake with cheese on top... Took forever for service on a Monday night .. not sure I'll go back
It's a bar that masquerades as a restaurant. The food is mediocre. Fish and chips, a dish you can really judge by as it's so hard to get them right ( I'm an accomplished chef) were oily, and the fish inside was a tad under cooked. The batter had little to no flavor or spicing. If you have any drink other than alcohol you'd better be able to get through your meal on one glass. I had water, one glass. No refills. And I drink a lot of water.

Spankies is Cookeville's iconic staple bar! The food is great and the drinks are heavy. On occasion, there's live music and generally just a great bar to go to! Spankies is where my friends and I enjoy hanging out the most!
