I rarely write a bad review because I know how important good reviews are to a business. Unfortunately, this review needed to be done. After years of coming to Taiko for the best sushi around I have to say this was my last time visiting. The service and quality of food has drastically declined.Your front counter service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. An apology for not having our order correct or giving us what we asked for would have been nice. Every time I order sushi anywhere I ask for extra eel sauce and spicy Mayo. I’ll pay for it if needed. I was told no. Our other order of a rice noodle bowl was wrong. We got rice on soup. Been coming for years and he actually argues with me about what we wanted.Simple apology would have been nice. Instead we were met with rudeness and it was just unacceptable. We cannot and will not pay this kind of money for high quality sushi and not expect exceptional service and quality. Goodbye Taiko we will travel to someplace else and spend our money where our value as a customer is more appreciated.

A local favorite of ours, Covid has complicated their business but I'm happy they've made it so far.

Sushi was great we got it to go restaurant seemed not to but floor was extra sticky and looked mid renovation. 3 stars just because food was good but if we were to have ate there feel as though it would have been a less enjoyable experience.

Sushi was ok. I've had better. If we order from there again we'll take it home to eat. Since the pandemic it just isn't the same.

Sushi was pretty good, got some variety and it was much better than another place we've tried locally and much cheaper than places not local. Cooked foods, not sure how fresh it is. I clearly heard a microwave in use which is not what you'd hope for when ordering shu mai and other hot dishes but they tasted OK. There was a cockroach running around on the ordering table trying unsuccessfully to climb the pen jar. When our order was ready the employee grabbed it with his hands. Hope he washed them. I've never seen a bug running around a restaurant so that was gross but we didn't get sick so there's that.

We ordered three long rolls for the two of us. Everything was very fresh and it was done within 10 minutes. They are not at full service due to COVID, but we didn’t mind. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating! We will be returning customers!

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. One of the best places to get sushi in Cookeville.

The sushi is OK at best, but it's Tennessee so you can't ask for a whole lot.

This service is absolutely terrible. The person taking our order had an attitude despite we were trying to be very polite to understand his heavy accent. Carry out experience was awful. Better options without the attitude out there. Explore before considering Taiko Noodle.

Didn't know it was takeout only. Guy acted like we were bugging him by being there!! It has been a few years since I have eaten there. The food was nowhere near the same. It wasn't as good either. I will not go back. Believe it or not you can get better sushi at Publix!!

Many variety of sushi to choose and then each one exploding with many different flavors. Cookeville roll was by far the best roll eaten in a long time.

Used to actually enjoy eating here. In the past had very good experiences but the past couple of time have been noticing the health standards have went way down hill the past two times I have been in there there have been bugs crawling around on the tables , that the gentleman making the food, places to go orders on. I had heard horror stories from past employees but always tried to give Taiko the benefit of the doubt because I had never witnessed it for myself but the past couple of times has done it in for me.
