I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Jim Jolly the owner and seeing firsthand the immense amount of work and quality that goes into running Texas Roadhouse. While most people only see the restaurant open at noon, the work begins well before sunrise. It truly operates like a well-oiled machine, and from the front door to the freezer room, every detail has been carefully considered.
Jim’s leadership ensures a consistent product and experience time after time. He takes genuine pride in his work and goes the extra mile. A great example during one of our recent meetings, Jim personally hand-delivered a catering order. That kind of dedication and ownership is rare in this industry, and it speaks volumes about the standard he sets.
There’s nothing but good to be said about this location. Cookeville is fortunate to have a Texas Roadhouse led with this kind of care and commitment.

The food is good, on the better side of your average chain restaurant fare. The service was great, friendly and and attentive. The atmosphere is fun, especially when someone in your party is celebrating a birthday! Overall, it's a fun dinner out, with good food.

I'm not leaving a tip for nobody to bring me my food for 15 minutes. I want my money back. This ain't the first time nobody brought me my food, but also wasn't a 30 dollar order. Also the pick up room was locked for the first time and thier was no way of knowing I needed to go in to get my pick up order. No sign or nothing. Just some writing on the window saying to stay in your car and we will bring your order out to you. When I went in and asked about my order 2 minutes before close and was told the person at pickup gets off a 10:30 and the orders go in a hot box. I call bs. It says pickup until 11 on your website. Also the receipt taped to the bag was crimpled up telling me this was done out of spite and that the lazy self entited brats resposible for this should be fired you ever want my business again.

My steak has been WAY past well done after ordering medium twice in a row. Sent it back, got blue sent back. Stick with Outback, if you want a chain steak in Cookeville.

1st I will never return. Was greated and seated perfectly. With the bread I asked for butter by the time our server Hunter returned with butter the buns were cold. Then after waiting and waiting our mozzarella sticks came. Without miranera or the ranch I asked for. By the time Hunter returned to our area needless to say they were COLD. With his thumbs up saying everything good I asked if he could please bring our salads 🥗 not two bites in our dinner arrived. Then Allie comes with thumbs up everything good . I menschund to her as I am taking my 3rd bite out of my salad 🥗 telling me sorry sorry sorry sorry can I get you a to go box. I haven't even started my steak or potatoes what will a box do for me. I wanted a nice hot meal. 😩 SORRY dose nothing. Hunter can not handle more than one table he. moves to slow and can't remember what you asked him for. Let alone trying to bring you anything you asked for. He needs more training.

It was one of those nightmare night meals the workers had the worse attitude even though my order took forever to get to table after they claim the staff in the kitchen drop my T-bone steak meal and then to make matter worse they brought me the smallest plain dry steak with the driest bake potato as well. We are usually regulars but tonight was definitely a bad night won’t be back
just wanted to say how sad I was when they fired grace I was there first day they opened and what Jim done to her was unbelievable best bartender by far and I seen them all

I’m from Nashville so this was a different type of town for me. It was odd being handed your plate instead of the server sitting it on the table for you. Also, drinking a beer is looked strangely upon. The server commented on me bringing my purchased beer from the bar while we were on a wait list to the table and made jokes that I brought it from home. I spent $8 on a draft. It’s coming with me. The food took forever and everything was overcooked. The steak was ordered medium rare but there was zero pink. Shrimp was so rubbery it wouldn’t come off the wooden skewers. She continued her stand up routine making a scene of taking my empty glass. Maybe this is normal in the country. I don’t know. But I know my family had a horrible time.

Normally this place is exceptional...but today we ate there around 3pm and we experienced a drop of a platter of drinks which got on my wife and son and drenched my wife's freshly delivered salad. All of this was a disaster, then our food was sub par as well with overcooked steaks. During all of this our waiter (who dropped the platter of drinks) kept his head high, got us new drinks and another salad, which my wife had to ask for, as well as making sure my wife and son got dried off. My biggest complaint here was that the manager(s) never visited our table to check on us, offer a discount, make sure the food was okay, or anything. Manager gets a 0 out of 10 for our visit. Reprimanding the waiter in our earshot was not good either, especially since grabbed us some new drinks while his awesome teammates jumped in to help clean up.

Just had the prime rib. It was excellent but this is the first time I have eaten somewhere with everything being perfect. Service wad great and fast Didn't have to wait on the check either. By the time we got done eating the check was already paid and I was on my way. I hate waiting on the check after im done eating. So 5 stars for me
