Ordered online since it was next to my hotel at 9:13. It said my order would be ready in 8 mins. They did not call the order back till 9:35. When the server said it would be about 20 mins I did not expect that meant it will be till the order was called back. The excuse was they just got rushed and she was waiting for other orders to be called back. The cook moved very slow, and apparently can handle only a couple of orders at a time. No one seemed to take pride in their job. In the past I have always admired how hard WH employees worked, and the speed they worked, but this has been the most inefficient crew I have seen anywhere, and not a single person should be retained, even if they have to close this location.
I am not sure if this is just a bad location, or if the other stores has gone downhill just as bad, but I do not think I will take the chance. It is sad to see an American icon to go so far downhill.

The staff was warm and courteous like bright lights in a dim world. The reason I gave the food a 3 is because I am voting for the salsa to come back. It goes perfectly with the Philly steak hashbrown bowl. The hot sauce doesn't have the same texture or flavor. Waffle House is a Mommy Me tradition for us that we don't do too often so Thank you for making it an amazing experience 😋

The employees that work here are always very nice and greet you when you walk in. They work very hard on keeping the place clean and a booth ready for you to sit. I always order the bacon, egg, and cheese hash brown bowl and have yet to be disappointed. The bacon is cooked just right, not to crunchy and not greasy. I'm asked every so often if I need anything from the waiters and not harassed by them. The staff is dedicated to hard work, and for that, I truly appreciate them for going above and beyond for the customer.
Old lady with glasses blew her nose with a napkin and didn't even wash hands. Continued to bare hand serve guests. Guess a lil country snot goes good on biscuits

In Cookeville the only restaurant that’s open 24 hours, yup 24 hrs! Is this one! We were back from the Isha Center late in the night @ 10pm and this was the only place open and they served us good hot food! God bless those two people who work there!!
