I absolutely love this place. Food is definitely worth the price! Love the wait staff; they are so attentive and nice! Located in Covington square in what literally looks like an on prohibition cellar! Highly recommend!
Every detail of this place is great. The staff is awesome and the food matches. If I'm in town I'm stopping at the cellar!
It's really hit or miss..mostly teens/young adults running the place...sometimes good, sometimes not..rarely any other customers in there, so i guess thats a sign.....once tried to order a cocktail and they were out of pineapple juice 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️...and occasionally out of items on menu....as we were leaving there were about 4 employees standing around hostess stand and not 1 of em spoke to us....
I went on Saint Patrick day, and they had a special menu. I wanted a salad, but it was not on the menu. The only thing on the special menu that I could eat was a baked potato. It was ok but nothing special. The music was amazing. I enjoyed them so much.
I had made reservations for 10 the night before because I had family members in town for a funeral and wanted to take them to what I had thought was a nice restaurant with good food. We were seated immediately. After that, service was kind of slow. The drinks were really slow coming out and we were never offered refills the rest of the night. We ordered the boudin balls for an appetizer and they tasted like dressing, as in Thanksgiving dressing. They brought out complimentary cheese sticks, our salads, then our entrees. The ribeye and sirloin steaks were tender and cooked to perfection but no flavor, at all. Most of everyone's steak residue went into a to-go plate for one of the party's dogs. There was quite a bit with almost an entire sirloin. The garlic mashed potatoes were barely warm and bland, with no seasoning but garlic. They ran out of green beans. One member of my family has dementia and because her garlic potatoes were cold and tasteless she refused to eat them and her salmon patties (which came in a to-go box), didn't get to the table until just before we left, she didn't eat. I had informed my family that I was picking up the tab but they must take care of the tip. Sadly, only two placed tip money on the table and I had to go back to the tab and add enough to give the waitress a halfway decent tip. It was a bad night. The waitress did take pictures for us before we left.
Enjoyed my first visit to The Cellar. The food was good the service was great and it's a really interesting place to enjoy an evening. The drink menu is massive and they had live entertainment while I was there. Great place to spend an evening with your friends.
Food was OK. Atmosphere was good. Service was great
If you don’t know this place is quality, then you don’t know and will never know what true quality is.
The food when this place first opened was great. It has declined drastically. My wife ordered steak. The steak tastes bland and cheap. Covered in fat. I ordered shrimp Alfredo and the noodles had no taste. The shrimp had no kind of seasoning. Horrible.

Great food
We had a party of sixteen ppl; I’m not sure if it was because it was Monday, but it wasn’t a great experience. We were pretty much the only ones in there besides a couple of ppl sitting at the bar. Server seemed to be new maybe, or maybe just young. Took a while to get our food, and one of our guests never got her chicken sandwich; server said she was sorry that kitchen was backed up (literally no one else in the restaurant). Everyone was done eating, so she had it put in a to go box. Food was okay, and for sure overpriced.

Went last night with friends. To start with they were out of one of the appetizers and the bottle of wine we ordered. My husband's ribeye was fatty and inedible. I ordered chicken piccata. What i received was some weird lemon flavored cream sauce. There is no cream in piccata. Needless to say, I didn't eat my food either. Very sorry to see this place go downhill like this.
It was an awesome experience!

We had a large pre-booked party, but the service was disappointing. Appetizers took about an hour to hit the table. Entrees arrived at our table in random order, leaving 4 couples with cold plates as they waited for their spouse’s meal (my wife and I included). After waiting over an hour and a half, I decided to cancel my meal because I didn’t want to hold up the group as everyone else had already finished eating when I made the call. Sadly, I won’t be back unless I have to.
