Sweet Southern Spirit Cowan Bakery

This is a nice bakery with a coffee shop vibe and good free wifi. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and helpful. Good for getting some work done or grabbing a nice treat.

I ordered a beautiful $350. wedding cake. However, it was too frozen to serve, we even ran hour or so late & we still couldn't cut it!! I called & left message, it's been almost a week ago & no one has even called me back. Very disappointed

So I was planning to go into town to get some supplies for baking this morning as well as going to the Farmers market. Since there's no air conditioning, I went ahead and got the supplies for baking for tomorrow. Meanwhile, while I was on Facebook, I discovered the new Sweet Southern Spirit Dessert and Coffee Bar in Cowan. I went in and tried an Apple Fritter and their dark roast coffee. It was delicious! They have the coffee prepared especially for them here in Tennessee. I also had to buy some of their ground coffee. Note the name :-), because as the old Irish saying goes, "You can't drink all day..." LOL! Yes, that's chocolate covered bacon (top row, second from the right). They told me that any time they have glazed donuts they can dip them in chocolate or maple, my favorite! Yes they also serve other breakfast foods. Go check it out!
