“Found this gem during our recent trip to Winchester. I loved the seating and overall setup. It made it easy to work from my laptop while enjoying a fresh seasonal cold brew. I had the Tiramisu cold brew, and I highly recommend it! I also ordered the lemonade spritzer, and it was on point as well.I spent about two hours inside the shop working and enjoying the coffee and atmosphere. Several others were also utilizing the space to work remotely. Later in the morning, it started to get quite busy, but I thought the wait for my spritzer before I left wasn't bad at all for the amount of orders they worked through.I didn't order food during my visit, so I can't offer a rating. It did smell and look delicious, though!Friendly staff! I will be back the next time I'm in town!”

“These folks are the best. A couple of times a week I take our two dogs for a ride and we always finish with a trip to Java Hut. Our dogs are rescues with trust issues and these wonderful people have really helped us with their adjustment to living a happy life. And their coffee is the best! It's so nice to live close to this place where everyone knows your name and your dog's names.”

Breakfast is served all day the lunch menu primarily consists of a "meat and three".Pictured is the All American Omelet which is a six egg omelette with every option they have thrown in it, served with grits and toast.Our waitress, Kelly, was wonderful. She kept our drinks filled and entertained us with some interesting conversation.The bathrooms were clean as was the entire restaurant which was decorated in classic country style.I will be returning.”

“I have been to eat here a few times and personally I think it's one of the better restaurants in this area and probably my favorite. I had been bragging on them to my sister and brother in law from Tullahoma. The came over for lunch today and said they were disappointed. She said she ordered a BLT and the bacon wasn't cooked enough for her. She likes crisp bacon. She said she took the bacon off the bread and placed it on a paper towel. She stopped her waitress telling her the bacon wasn't done enough for her and asked would she put it in the microwave. My sister said the waitress brought the bacon back and it was still undercooked so she just ate the bread to keep from complaining. I told her if she had asked for the manager the order would have been made right. I don't know the owners personally but I feel comfortable in saying they would have made it right. This business is top notch and does not want negative comments like this. I will go back in a heartbeat!!!”

“Best little coffee barn around! My family and I love the people, their spirit and the coffee! I have to have decaf coffee (I know- the audacity of my body!) and I also request sugar free, I went through one day when they were a bit busy and I always ask when they hand me the coffee if it is decaf, the young gal said she totally forgot, apologized profusely and made another one promptly. She could have gotten frustrated that the line was backing up, and I didn't just take what I was given (like most places do) but instead she was more worried I was going to complain! Kudos to CJ's for taking accountability and making sure their customers were happy!”

“We went here for lunch today and quickly found it to be our new favorite place. I ordered Tacos al Pastor and my husband had the grilled chicken tacos. They were both excellent! They also came with rice and charro beans, which were also delicious. I am not a huge fan of refried beans, so was very excited to learn that they had charro beans here! We also loved the chunky, freah salsa that came out with the chips. Not a bad thing to say about our meals. Everything was very well prepared, came out fast and they were fast with the refills. Glad to have this new option in Winchester and can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu.”

“We stopped here on top of Monteagle mountain as the severe storms that pounded Nashville with tornadoes were going through and it was only 30 minutes before they were closing. They were incredibly welcoming and shared concerns as well. We were never rushed, food was fresh and excellent. They were extremely gracious and went above and beyond as I guess we were all worried about family and driving in the severe conditions. Was blown away once we went inside at how nice and modern the facility is. This is a hidden gem and we will now make an effort on all our trips to Atlanta, Chattanooga, Guntersville Lake to stop on the mountain and enjoy the food and hospitality in the future.Kid-friendliness: Great environment family, students, adults or friends.
