I took a roadtrip on a Sunday afternoon...destination Cumberland Gap...and visited the bar area of Angelos. The atmosphere inside is great as well as the beer garden. The salad was good. Craft beer and food prices are quite spendy. Draft beer price is about 25% more than what I pay in Knoxville. I wasn't expecting it to be that high on an off day. This probably explains why there were hardly any customers. What a gem this could be on a nice Sunday afternoon in a college town! I love the town and the bar atmosphere but will probably skip this establishment in the future.
We went early last Friday for dinner before a movie on our date night.
We waited for several minutes at the entrance, waiting to be acknowledged by one of several employees standing in front of us and talking about what reservations they had for the night. Should have just walked out then but wanted to try the “amazing wings and pizza”.
The pizza-
We got the ultra thin crust but it was very soggy and the sauce was very weird tasting (tangy) and had wayyy too much oregano.
The wings-
They were also not crisp and the breading on them resembled what you would have on catfish and both of us thought they tasted a bit like fish too. We got them with buffalo sauce and it was a strange rendition of a typical sauce. The order came with two small white celery sticks.
The women’s bathroom was missing knobs on the faucets, had to turn them on and off with the little nub on the top. Very low class.
Don’t believe the hype

Absolutely loved it!! Decided to take a day trip to Cumberland Gap and stopped for a late lunch. The atmosphere was great, the food was fantastic and we will be back.
Food was good. Not at all crowded. Service was ok.
Nice relaxing atmosphere with live music.
Went to dinner for my anniversary, we had wonderful experience! Joseph was our waiter. The service, conversation, manners all around a great guy! They had a live band, decor is like a rustic cabin. It's very beautiful, there is lots to look at!
For dinner we ordered the Garlic balls with marinara sauce, burger and fries and 8oz beef tips cooked to perfection!! Girlled asparagus, sweet potato fries. OMG it was delicious. The marinara sauce is very tasty!
*THE TASTE IS WORTH THE PRICE*
It's a little slice of heaven! My husband and myself plan on trying everything on their menu!
They have a pool table, tvs, oh and the best part They have 2 airbnbs located on top of the restaurant that are gorgeous!! Again very well decorated, nice rustic getaway in the middle of Cumberland Gap.
They are right up the street from cumblingap hotel, as well.
My only suggestion is to add more of a variety of pasta's ( Cheese ravioli or tortellini, baked penne), maybe Brushito, Chicken parmesan.. pizza selection is awesome! 5 STARS.
The recent changes they’ve made, with several great hires in the bar and restaurant, are paying off. Service has been wonderful and I’m really enjoying all the new activities they are hosting!
Excellent service and food! Highly Recommend!
A friend took us here. Our food arrived cold. However, they rectified it quickly. A bit loud with the music. It was hard to enjoy our friends over the music

Driving past Cumberland Gap every now and again, I'd get a craving for their subs. My husband and I finally decided to go. We ordered an Italian and a Philly, both 12 inch, to go. We waited about 20 minutes, got our food, and took it to the car. I opened my box to see my italian was only meat and cheese, and the whole top layer was burnt, and the bread was hard as a rock.
I went back in and the girls at the front were so nice. We had to wait another 15ish minutes for a new one, and at this point, my husband's was cold. They still forgot the dressing and onions, and somehow my sandwich was smaller than before.
At that point, we just decided to go because my husband's food was cold, and so were my onion rings. With tip, it was $50 for two sandwiches and two sides. At that price, I am so sad that it ended up that way because we cannot afford to go out that often. And when a place doesn't make you feel satisfied, it is hard to want to go back. :(

The food arrived cold, the salads were brought out after the food was served, the soda was over carbonated, and the live music was so loud, having a conversation was impossible. Lovely rustic decor, but the dining experience was shattered by the quality and delivery of the meal. I've heard good things about this location, but that was definitely not our experience on this visit. Hope they tighten their operations and delivery up, and recognize in door live music should compliment the dining experience, not over power it.

First time visiting. All of the staff were polite and accommodating. The pizza was absolutely incredible. We had a White Chicken Stuffed Crust and it was like nothing else I've had. The amount of cheese in the crust was unbelievable. It was essentially a pizza surrounded by a ring-shaped calzone. I will definitely be back, especially after learning about the Airbnb options above the restaurant.
